She is incompetent as a DR. Will not listen to other Drs. as to whats needed. Refuses to Full up and is Rude and thinks she is the BEST out there... I wouldn't take my dog to her. Had approval for a test since 7/11/2020. no test yet. Head aches over 15 months because she screwed up a Spinal cord stim removal. Also Never got the Spinal cord Stim that was removed and paid for by my insurance...(wouldnt be surprised if it was inplanted in someone else) Take hours to get to the Call center and then no call backs. I believe that Dr. Myrdalis Diaz Ramirez is one of America's best pain managent doctors. My chronic pain started somwhere between the age of 9 or 10. Now I am almost 69 and I suffered all these years with very few exceptions. Doctors just did not want to deal with pain. I began to self-medicate with Exedrine. For more than 20 years I took 3 Exedrine three time per day. I feared I might go into liver or renal failure. What happened instead is that I did severe gastrointestinal damage to myself through the chronic high doses of Exedrine. I have not totally recovered from that. I saw a few other pain management doctors but thwy did nothing worthwhile. Dr. Diaz Ramirez got me relief from pain so that I could function in every area of my life. To me that is the "holy grail" of pain management. My goal was never to be 100% free of pain 100% of each day. My goal was to be able to work, play, go to church, play guitar and do whatever. After 58 years of pain, Dr. Diaz Ramirez found the right medication for me. My body would not accept various medications because of horrible side effects but she stayed with it and found the right medication for me. For that my gratitude and love for her is over the top. The relationship could not be saved! She kept throwing in my face that I had a positive result for marijuana which is absolutely not true! I got the results directly from the lab and they were negative. I explain to the lab technician that I was in my mid-60s and had not smoked marijuana since I was 15 years old. He replied "that must've been some really good shit". He was being sarcastic because he believed that I hadn't smoked marijuana. He had the test results that said I was negative even though Dr. Diaz-Ramirez's office insisted that I was positive. Diaz-Ramirez' office had no chain of custody paperwork which is legally required and could not prove it was my drug test. When I displayed the results they had and the ones I was supplied by the lab that processed the test, I noticed another discrepancy. I take a prescription med for anxiety which is a benzodiazepine. The test from the lab that was negative for marijuana picked up the benzodiazepines. Dr. Diaz-Ramirez results that showed I was positive for marijuana did not test positive for benzodiazepines. Her results were not from my urine!! I don't know whose urine sample she used or if it was a simple mistake but it was a mistake and Dr. Diaz-Ramirez would not admit it was an error and eventually discharged me from their practice over it. I was very upset that I was discharged but I have found a doctor that cares about my quality of life and does his best to control my pain!! It was a blessing to be free from Dr. Diaz-Ramirez and I hope you won't put yourself through her games of additional CT Scans, MRI's, Biofeedback and needless expensive vitamins. (Yes... she will make you try all of those things) No matter what your ailment, she has the same game plan for every patient and it consists of wasting time and spending money needlessly! I got a cryptic letter from her office saying they were closing the Waldemere office and that she will "no longer be able to provide medical services at that location" but there are other physicians at their other locations who can provide care! I love Dr Diaz. She is really friendly! Your 1st visit she'll listen to we're your pain is and thoughly exam you. and actually takes her time examing your parts of your body where you have chronic pain. She tries the best treatment plan fitting you. I've been in pain management for 13 years. This is my 4th doctor. And the best one out of all of them. She has helped decrease my pain with half the meds I used to take. None of my other doctors offered me epidurals or any other treatments just gave me my meds and spent 5 to 10 minutes in the room. They take time with every patient. It usually takes an hour and 15 mins from your appointment time. She's great give her a try!!!! read more

er waiting excitedly to see Dr. Diaz-Ramirez, I must warn others to be prepared for a truly disappointing visit. First off, I'm a senior citizen recovering from a widow maker heart attack & live in pain which is why I was seeing a Pain Dr. and what they did not extend me the courtesy of telling me was valet costs $5 or you need to wear your hiking shoes. When I realized this fact, I contemplated canceling but decided to brave it out and walk. Out of breathe I arrived at the office only to see no available seats in the waiting room & to be expected to stand out of breath answering questions for over 8 minutes. The Dr's receptionist could care less till I asked to be seated, which they did in a back room exam room where I was ignored for an additional 45 minutes when I realized this Dr is quick to inform their procedure is if your late or cancel you will be billed for your exam, but to them your just another number so I left, after meeting the Dr in the hallway who informed me she couldnt see me for another 15-20 minutes. I was referred to Dr. Diaz from Sarasota Pain Relief Centers of which she is a part. She ordered two MRI's and I completed them in Jan 2021. I waited for the call to see her. That call never came. I called sometime in May and made an appointment. When she saw me, she stated that she was waiting for me to see a psychiatrist as ordered by the spinal cord stimulater rules. I stated to her in English and Spanish that she should have told me that in January not 5 months later. She told me to get a letter from my psych saying that I was mentally able to partake in the spinal cord surgery. I instructed my psych to write the letter but he would not in fear of I don't know what. As a six-foot-one, 280 pounder, I didn't want to push him too hard thinking he would jump from the window. He said he wanted to call Dr. Diaz. Then the psych's secretary stated that DR. Diaz wanted me to undergo a three-hour psych eval for which I replied HELL NO. I immediately fired the psych. I called doctor Diaz's office multiple times asking to talk with her to no avail. I finally spoke with the office manager who defended the doc saying that the 3-hour psych eval was ordered by Workman's comp and not doctor Diaz but being the detective that I am I told her that Diaz has precisely indicated to me that she needed just a letter, not a three-hour psych. So someone is lying. Anyway, I was told that someone would definitely call me today, which of course did not happen. And now everyone knows that today's date is 09/28/2021 and I still await in pain for my promised services. This message is from my mom: This communication is to complain about Dra Myrdalis Ramirez. I am a patient suffering from really bad back pains and she was my pain specialist from 2008 - 2017. I was forced to see a different doctor because of my persistent pain, I went to see Dr. Jeffrey Silverstein before and after my surgery, which took place on 11/2017. I followed up with Dr. Raye, Who is an specialist in pain during approx. 2 and a 1/2 years. I changed my health insurance in March 2020, and unfortunately, this insurance did not cover him. I went back to Dra. Myrdalis Diaz Ramirez, I asked for an appointment but as a result of the pandemic she was only able to see me through Google, she spent 18 minutes with me and asked me why I was coming back to her, I explained that Mr. Raye's service was not cover by my insurance and asked her if she was able to see me as a new patient. She said: No, and stated: I should return to Dr. Raye, I explained her that my insurance did not cover his service. I insisted and her assistant gave me an appointment for April 27/2020 at 11:45 a.m. I was diligent and took all my medical records for her to review, even though the appointment was set for 11:45 am, it took Dr. Ramirez almost two hours, just to let me know she was not going to see me, according to her because I had another Doctor, fact that she previously knew. I consider this event a lack of care and understanding about the needs of a patient. She was clearly, upset because I had switched doctors as a result of health insurance coverage. I hope this event set an alert that doctor's only priority is to serve the medical needs of patients not to look for their best economic outcome. I was able to set up a new patient appointment with Dr. Myrdalis Diaz Ramirez for pain management roughly 1 week after my initial call to the office. It was roughly 30 minutes before I was needing to leave my house for the appointment and the office called to inform me that Dr. Diaz would not me taking me on as a patient. I asked to get some clarification and was forwarded to the Office Manager who was also unable/unaware of why the doctor wouldn't be taking me on as a patient which I then proceeded to tell her how unprofessional it was to be calling less than an hour before an appointment which I had made over a week ago. The Office Manager started raising her voice asking me how I could say they were unprofessional, I calming restated the reasoning behind my unprofessional statement and how it should've been handled a lot sooner and hung up. read more

It has taken me 3 years to review this horrible incentive person. I went to her for 3 years, I had huge ulcer's all in my mouth. Than I got huge ulcer's all over my body. 41 doctor's and no teeth left..with no diagnosis The pain I was in was insane, all over my body I had open lesion's that would not heal and itched beyond.About 6 month's before the incident happened she started to prescribe medicine's that no pharmacy carried, plus she forgot to sign the prescpriton. I knew what was going on, I am not stupid, she wanted me gone. I called for my next appt. and was told by her receptionist that she was going out of town and Should go to one of the many clinic's that are owned by Sarasota pain management. So I went waited 2 hour's, saw a RN told her about what was happening to me, when all the sudden Ramirrez call's the clinic to tell them to have me come immediately to her office, I could not because I had aa appt. after being at the other 3 hour's I could not believe she wasn't on vacation, and I was lied to. I went to pay, and was told I was suspended from her practice, I could no longer go to any of the clinic's. , I thought the receptionist was kidding me, but she wasn't, I called and called to ask if she would talk to me, I wrote her 2 letter's begging her to respond, she didn't. It turns I have Lyme disease that was untreated for year's. I just broke my hip, and can not go to any pain dr. in Sarasota, because if they look up my past it show's them what happened and they will not accept me as a patient.
