I received a sandwich that far exceeded any sandwich I have had from other lunch providers anywhere in this Country! It was fresh, the ingredients were plentiful and it tasted delicious! The first one was toasted and the next one I did not get toasted, but it was just as good either way. I tried others and my Son had different ones during the week and we both felt these were fantastic! A foul ball that could've been a home run…read more Hy-Vee Market Grille is nice little restaurant/buffet inside of the Hy-Vee grocery store. My wife and I had to run some errands at the store and figured we could grab a bite to eat quick. We were seated by a window, fresh flowers on the table, waitress grabbed our drinks and we ordered. I had the Macaroni and Cheese Burger with sweet potato fries and my wife asked for a Chicken Caesar Salad with a dinner roll. The wait time for our food was acceptable, however when it arrived it was incomplete. The waitress dropped off my food, and handed my wife a dinner roll said, "your chicken dish will be out shortly". Shortly after that, the waitress brought, what looked like a side salad, no dressing, no chicken. On a chicken Caesar salad, I expected to the chicken on the salad, but we thought, "oh well, I guess it comes on the side". My meal was complete, so I decided to dig in. My meal was great. Burger was medium rare, open faced, topped with great mac & cheese. I highly recommend it. About 5 minutes or so late, the manager stopped by and asked us how our meal was. My wife asked about the chicken on the salad and instantly saw the problem and said she'd fix it. About 5 minutes after that, the manager came back with an an uncut chicken breast on a plate and told us that she'd comp the salad and apologized. I had finished my burger and it was time for us to start heading out, so my wife asked for a to-go box so she could just eat at work. The waitress who served us ignored us the rest of the time. No apology from her, though she did wish us a "nice day" as we left. Overall, kind of a weird experience. I think the meal would have been better if we would've had a different waitress.

We walked into the bait shop and right as the door closed we felt unwelcomed and uncomfortable. The first impression was some "locals" making us feel like we were the most unintelligent beings on the face of the earth. We asked them for minnows and they checked in the area where the minnows were and said they were out of minnows! We couldn't believe that a bait shop wouldn't have minnows. So I went into the bait area to look for worms in the fridge and a man yelled at me making a scene and told me "you are not allowed to go back there". We knew right away that we needed to leave and we did. The entire time the employees refused to talk to us and were a factor to the discomfort at the place. We didn't even want to purchase any worms at that point and had to travel 20 miles east to get minnows. Would not encourage buying any bait from this place because it's very unreliable and the atmosphere of the place would be enough to ruin someone's day.
