On 3/15/23 Ms. Janet (one of the teachers currently employed at Kiddie Academy) decided to twist my son's ear, because he and several of the other children were running around during nap time. However, I did not become aware that something had transpired until Thursday morning, when my son became distraught, crying and falling out because he did not want to go in the class with the teacher. Not understanding the full extent of what happened and believing what Ms. Luisa (the Director) shared about the kids running around during nap time and a teacher yelling into the classroom on 3/15/23, he attended daycare on 3/16/23. When he got home on 3/16/23 he had bruises on his left leg that resembled a hand print. Upon seeing the bruises, my son's father and I met with the Director to share our concerns. At no time were we offered the ability to view the video of the classroom on 3/15/23 to fully understand what transpired, nor were we able to see what happened on 3/16/23 that caused the bruises on my son's legs. To-date the only option offered was an apology and forgoing paying the 4 week cancellation fee. Ms. Janet is still employed at the facility and no additional action had been taken. As I am still exploring my personal options on how I'd liked to proceed in this particular situation, I thought it best at a minimum to post a review to hopefully help another parent avoid a similar situation.

The director even asked my son if he wanted to go visit the age group he would be in (4's at the time) and he hung out in there while we talked! The kids are happy, the place is so clean, and I am ALWAYS greeted by multiple staff members (and I know ALL OF THEM!) I honestly wouldn't trust my kids with anyone else! I have never had a problem go unaddressed! We were referred to this place from a friend who also had kids there, and assumed Our first time with a daycare will go smoothly. I DO NOT recommend taking Your child here. The first day (and only day) we dropped off our 13 month old there, we were told that he did not sleep, and had a fever...AFTER his mother had picked him up. We noticed that he had a bruise on his head as well, and only after pressing them for more information they told us that he was banging his head on the crib. Few things to point out- In their own policies, if the child gets hurt in anyway they will contact the parents. My gf was told when she picked him up. The pictures they send throughout the day shows that he got the bruise HOURS before she showed up. Next is the fact that he developed a fever and they STILL did not notify us until he was picked up. And finally, after probing them for the policy violations they committed they admitted that it was a mistake on their part and they should have notified us IMMEDIATELY. I cannot convey my anger enough in this review because after we took him home so he could finally sleep and tend to his fever, he had a fibril seizure and was transported to the hospital. He was at Kindercare for 6 hours...and everything I was worried about having random people taking care of my child was validated. So to sum it all up, on the FIRST DAY our child: -could not be put to sleep -was neglected long enough for him to bang his head against a crib to develop a bruise on his head -developed a fever which the parents were not told until he was picked up. Like I said they admitted they did not follow their own policy so we received a full refund for the week, because we were NEVER coming back. On a side note he is doing better at a different daycare, obviously better taken care of than at this place. So if you're looking for a place for your infant, like another reviewer said on here DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE.

No fluffy pretense, just straightforward and positive attitudes across the board. Effective leadership + excellent teachers = outstanding program. Despite all this, we were nervous our first few weeks as we were leaving our nearly 2-year-old son with strangers for the first time. We called on the first day and Paul (owner) answered the phone and put us at ease. He offered to walk down and take a look for us, and said that our son was playing - laughing, even. He said to call whenever we were concerned. We did, and each time our boy was either having fun or napping. (Incredible!)
