Awful place and AWFUL PEOPLE! It seems to be under new management or people or something but they are awful now!! They had some good people and that i would always love to work with now it's just a bunch of awful mean people that are awful at real estate, unprofessional, unreliable, and just rude overall. I have been with this firm for a few years now. Is seems we have more brokers than any other firm in the Highlands, Cashiers, Glenville and Sapphire area. This has really served well in that with so many brokers that bring buyers, it benefits our sellers. I have recently been asked to assist our Highlands Office, which is more of the Luxury Home market. Our office step is instrumental in assisting brokers. We also have a great marketing team that assists brokers not only locally, but in the global market as well. While our previous General Manager has just retired (you will be missed Carol), she was very diligent in finding Lauren, a capable manager that also serves as a Continuing Education Instructor with the NC Real Estate Commission. We went with Landmark in hopes that our property would rent out. We got one renter in a year and a half. They should periodically check up on properties. We had a serious mold issue appear after our August renters that took months to repair (not their fault necessarily,but maybe they could have caught it earlier if they had checked on the property?) First we were working with Gareth, then he mysteriously disappeared. Then we worked with Ken who was difficult to get a response from, On email. Then we worked with Christy who was fabulous, but then Landmark also let her go. Very confusing working with Landmark, unfortunately. I worked with another brokerage before coming to Landmark Realty Group and I have to say this is the most professional company on the Plateau in my opinion. Carol Wilson is the General Manager and she is always accessible to the brokers and to the clients should they need her. Landmark is the best of the best! Real Estate can be ruthless at times but you will find good people behind the Landmark name. We have had some turnover in the past two years because of the standards Carol Wilson has put in place since she took over the leadership roll in 2018. This company has always led in sales and with Carol leading it now it will only get better. read more

Renters beware. Do not rent from Carole Lufburrow or Landmark realty if the dates are important. I booked a rental from Carole for Masters week. After accepting, confirming and collecting payment, she contacted me asking me to cancel. She said she had previous renters that were requesting my confirmed dates. After refusing to cancel my booking she in turn canceled it on her end. She refunded payment but we are left without a place to stay. When trying to discuss the situation she abruptly ended communication after being extremely rude and insulting. The reviews of unprofessionalism are accurate read more

Mandy is rude and unprofessional. Gareth isn't much better. In this area, unprofessionalism is the norm so they don't seem to care too much.
