Absolutely delicious!!! I've never had lobster bisque before; it was super. For his appy, husband ordered a salad. We marvelled at the dressing and different, interesting ingredients, and why we can't make salads like that (gee, we are not chefs, that's why lol) My pasta was stupendous: I never order pasta when I dine out...it's just noodles in my mind (unless it's fresh), but their pasta (casarecce from Italy) was so perfectly cooked. I loved every bite of the dish, but the pasta itself shone the brightest. Husband had steak frites. He had to choose medium or rare, no middle ground, but his rare steak was perfect for him, w a lovely char on it. His frites were still crispy and tasty down to the final one: he could not recall having better fries, ever...and we've done patios and fine dining in Quebec City Ottawa and Toronto this year. I DIDN'T ASK, but the restaurant might not be licensed for alcohol. Since there was no corkage fee, I splurged on the wine. It was so good, we didn't need anything more to drink. The main courses were a little slow in coming...maybe 20 guests eating simultaneously...they don't seem to have a lot of staff...chef even helped to clear our table, but it was so nice to chat with him! PLEASE come out and support this restaurant. It's the best. The surrounding area is just beautiful; we did a lovely hike before our meal up to High Falls in Algonquin, the trail had is just a few km away. We will return again, for SURE read more
