Very friendly and helpful staff and the plants are all healthy and robust - it is where I go to buy my plants, but do it with caution. It's all about the sale. I get my soil tested by the U of M but when I found out that Landsburg did it I decided to give them a try. the test came back with my nitrogen low - phosphorous moderate and pot ash medium, they recommended 5-10-5. it made no sense that the phosphorous was the highest number when nitrogen was so low in my soil and I felt like they were just trying to sell a product, so I took another sample and sent it to U of M. they showed a phosphorous of +100 ppm with their scale showing 25 ppm as being extremely high. U of M recommended 10-0-5 which made sense, i really shouldn't be adding any more phosphorous to my soil. when I looked for roses i noticed Landsburg had some for sale that were good to zone 5. Landsburg is in zone 3 and the nearest zone 5 is 4 hours south at the Iowa border. I accidentally grabbed a lavender plant thinking it was rosemary, when I got it home I noticed my mistake and looked at the label which said zone 5. they will sell you anything without a word of caution and it will be a waste of money unless your intention is keep replanting your flower garden each year ( I guess if you have the money). I can understand that people would buy zone 5 plants to pot and keep in the house but I do not see people growing a lavender or rose bush in the house. They do not have your garden or your best interests in mind. read more

They simply don't stand by their products. No refunds no exchanges and very condescending staff, including the manager. I won't buy from them again and neither should you. Their plants may look nice but they are not temperant to our zonal weather. ​ read more

If you have services provided by Landsburg, don't hesitate to ask for prompt remedy if the plants they sold and planted fail. We were promised replacement of a tree, and were told "they want to make it right" when we could see the tree was not doing well, and their representative agreed. After two years now, we still have no replacement or refund for a tree that didn't look the best when it was planted. read more

What a cute little place. We stopped in while in the area as they had a plant finder that showed a plant I was looking for, but they didn't have it. They had others I was able to find that were neat and I hadn't seen before at the big names garden center in the cities. Glad I stopped, and the girl apologized that there plant finder wasn't up to date and thanked us for stopping in which was so nice. I would stopped in again if in the area. read more

Very poor service and customer relations. Bought a red maple and planted last September. Only a small portion of it came back this spring. Called them in May to find out the process to replace. They said I had to wait to June 10th to do anything. They told me to take pics and bring in my receipt, and they would give 50% off another tree. So, I go in today, and after talking to five different people, they told me I had to go home, dig up the tree and bring it back. Since I won't give them my business now, I'm out the whole amount. We did some landscape work the past few weeks and I have to admit, it looks pretty good for someone who doesn't know what he is doing. The staff up there is super. They worked with us on design, suggested plants and tips to keep them healthy. I am always pleased with the service.
