Such a beautiful view!
This restaurant and hotel overlooks a 'crescent' lake that's privately owned. Since it's owned by somebody, they decreed that motorboats aren't allowed out on this picturesque lake, since it'd be too noisy. Good for them! It's a wonderful view of this alpine lake, with the Alps behind it.
We stopped off here in a caravan of motor coaches, where we had a chance to use their free restrooms. The staff seemed like they'd seen it a million times before, and since you got ushered through the gift shop at the exit, I can see why they're so permissive of all these tourists using their loo.
The gift shop reminded me of the kinda schmaltz you see in Cracker Barrel gift shops back home. Things like little games, coffee cups with your name on it, picture books about the area- that kinda stuff.
Since we were like the 5th tour bus that pulled in, there was a crazy long line of tourists waiting to use the can, so I ran across the street and paid fifty euro cents at the gas station. read more
