It would be nice if they had a couple of "10 items or less" checkout stations. When they're busy you could stand in line a long time with 2or 3 items in order to pay cash.

CONSUMERS BEWARE I would avoid dealing with this Verizon…read morelocation. Their sales tactics are less than professional and I dealt with Jordan Hess, the owner. I am a Verizon customer with three phones on our plan and I went into this location to see if I could get a simple phone with just a limited amount of minutes on for our current caregiver to use in case of emergency. There was a new employee working and she didn't know what to suggest. The owner jumped in to offer a phone that was about $140+ and indicated this phone could just use some of the minutes on our plan. I indicated I did not want to pay that much and had thought about just getting a basic phone I could add minutes to as needed, which I thought could be purchased at Radio Shack or other locations. The owner said he may have a phone to offer me for about $30. It was made perfectly clear that I may not need this longer-term. Three months later when we call Verizon to have the phone removed from our plan, as we are now paying $38 a month to have it on the plan and it is no longer used, we were informed that I was put on a two year contract. I could have either purchased the phone for the $140 or so, or taken the two year plan and I was put in the two year plan!! Neither of these did I want. I went into the store to talk to Jordan Hess, the owner, and he was not in and was told he was very busy opening up other locations. I asked that he call me so I could discuss this. Three weeks went by and I received no call. I called the store and was told they would definitely have him call. A few days later my husband stopped in the store and the employee told him there was nothing that could be done because we agreed to the two year plan. I signed the paper in the store after Jordan seemed to find the inexpensive phone that would work for me. In fact he likely took the same phone that was $140+ without a two year plan and he gave me the other alternative of about $30 with a two year plan. This was quite a manipulative and misleading sales tactic. If you want honest service I would suggest finding another store that is not owned by Jordan Hess.

I frequently compare Clover Valley to name brand in foods, and get about the same item for significantly less. I like the store brand home goods, frequently purchasing the toilet paper here. Using the Dollar General app, I have applied coupons for bigger savings. A few recommendations: On a visit of 11/30/24, the cashiers were too chatty to the point where I felt intrusive on their conversaconversation. The discussion included something about who was in charge. It seemed silly. The stocky, short-haired female employee was crabby.
