Found this photographer when searching for back to school minis for my son. Her price was good $50…read morefor 3 images and close by. I had to ask a couple times for the invoice. I paid thru paypal by a request of money- not an invoice. The week of she rescheduled, no big deal, kids get sick. It was week or so for her to reschedule with us. We did the session, on August 19. 2 weeks after our original book date. she said it would be about 3 weeks or so to get a gallery. September rolls in I asked about our gallery and she asked if I got an invoice.. I said no because it had been so long I was unsure what she was referring to. She said Ill send it over and you'll need to pay before I send the gallery I don't send images without payment. I said woah, I did pay. She argued with me, said she doesn't have it. Argued some more. I had to send her proof. My payment came out the day I book my sons session on July 30th. We get the gallery, I look it over and fb messager her, bc that is how she communicates. Not very good at responding... I ask her if she can do one specific photo with less edits. She says no because its a composite. Okay. I choose other photos. I really liked 9. I asked her if she did photo collages, she said she doesn't know and she'd have to charge for service. Okay fine, what is the price. no response. I tell hub about the confusion of what we get, so he emails her for clarification, do we get 1 8X10 and 2 5X7s like description says or do we get 4 digital images like the email. The credit for the photos doesn't even cover the photos, credit of $23, she charges her clients shipping. This was something I was not expecting as I have never had a photographer charge any type of shipping. You pay more to receive your images. She says she always charges shipping as you would if you purchased something online. I asked for a free shipping code at first bc she did not disclose that it would cost more money to recieve product. After more arguing and hassle I also asked a comp image. She said no, what i am getting is more than fair, She inst going to make any money off of this session, do you realize id be doing this for free blah, blah, blah. I ask for a free shipping code 3 days ago, she told me she would take care of the shipping. I email Thursday-she says no, i am just trying to get free stuff from her, more arguing, says I am bullying her and harassing her and threatening her she deactivated my gallery... But... before she did that I placed an order, i did want the photos and she was being so rude and disrespectful! After that i go find my sons photos on his page, i notice his name is on it... My mistake for not noticing before... I ask her to take them down. I comment on her Instagram page where my minor toddler photo is and she deletes it and blocks me. I wrote my experience on a mom group and a friend forwarded it to her and it escalated from there. Said I was slandering her business and retaliating over $6.95. Made the comment, interesting how your friends stick up for me and not you. (something like that) More arguing and more harassing. I sent her a take down notice last night. The post is gone off the site. She said she'd remove the photo if the post was removed. Photos are still up. I did not sign a contract, nor did I see one. I did not sign a release form for my minor child. The only way to see her contract is if you book through her website. If she sends you an actual invoice. I was sent a money request-did not see a contract. I booked thru a facebook event. Right now i just want my sons photo removed from her social media sites. She is refusing. I would not recommend her to anyone. She is rude, disrespectful- says I dare you to get a lawyer, has no concept of what customer service is. She has harassed me and threaten me. If she was a decent human being I would just have her remove my sons name. She is on a power of authority trip with a contract that I have not seen from her, that I did not sign. I did not give her permission to use my sons photos to further her business. Why she is being like this...idk? I am a mother asking a photographer to remove my minor child photo off her sites, he is under the age of 13 and she is violating his privacy. poor business practices. She is not worth the hassle and trouble. There are many many great photographers out there and she is far from it.
