It's almost like the review written by Gus was written by me. Wrong info on death certificate. Obituary not posted until after service. Cremation delayed-rescheduled service due to this. Cheap urn-has to buy one on Amazon that was nicer than theirs at half their price, communication sucked! And so on and so on. It was a hard stressful lesson I learned a little too late. My cousin did not pick them up, but she did take several pictures of what Betty did. Our family was deeply disappointed by the performance of Mr Brashen and the Stevenson funeral home. Mr Brashen was impatient and rude. He obviously was trying to hurry us along, repeatedly rolled his eyes when he thought things were taking too long and was just in general not a nice person. When the daughter of the deceased told him there were not enough chairs set up for the memorial service to follow calling hours, he said 'not as many people will show up as you think'. (the place was packed). I have been involved in making arrangements for a couple of funerals now. I have a good idea of how a funeral director should act. You really should not even notice the funeral director during the service. Just sad that he distracted from the celebration of an amazing life.
