This review is specific for their service garage and not car sales. Their service mechanic is a hack, specialty seems to be only oil changes. Specific maintenance schedules are not followed for different makes of cars, likely because of his old fashion mentality of "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Have to agree with the other reviewer. service was soo bad. On many occasions the mechanics did not talk to the owner and vice versa, work not completed ( if it ain't broke don't fix it mentality). Was left all day with out a car, called in to see when work was to be completed despite being told I was going to get a call, never returned my calls to advise work was completed. Get there and no work was even done, and to top it off a scratch on the car, yet they didn't do it! Warranty issues, etc... etc... etc... Richard Lang is the owner of the company and he's a great guy, professional, honest, knowledgeable, and passionate about cars. I enjoyed my conversation with him, and his colleagues. Just decided to buy an used car from them. I will write another review in a few months after I drive the car for a bit. But based on what I've experienced so far, this is one of the best car dealers I've dealt with in the past many years. I went to check out a used BMW X5 at Lang Motor Car and found Richard very helpful from the onset. I dropped in on my way to business appointment and came back on a Saturday and he let me take a fairly long test drive in the vehicle by myself where I had a chance to have a really good look at it. When I arrived back to the dealership and chatted further about the vehicle with Richard and not only was he helpful, his approach was very easy and professional, which is more than I can say about my experience at a few other places I dropped in on to look at comparable vehicles. I was so impressed with the experience, I gave him a deposit on the spot and ended up picking up the vehicle a week later. Richard was great throughout. I've had the X5 a few months now and ave had zero issues with it. My family and I have purchased 18 cars here over the years and not one of those cars has ever been a lemon. Indeed Richard always sold these cars to me at an excellent fair market deal and in turn offered top dollar value at trade-in. Regarding service I disagree with some earlier comments. All service work on my cars has been performed at Langs' to my high standards, expectations, and satisfaction! When one is constantly buying used cars it is important to have a dealer and mechanics you can trust. I cannot imagine what could ever be wrong with an attitude of "if your car doesn't need particular work we won't go ahead and do that work and charge you anyway." That's a mechanic I trust who won't waste my time and money. One can only wonder what really prompts such a sperilous comment from those others? Purchased a used ( like brand New BMW showroom condition) from Lang Motors, and i must say that Richard is the best !! no pushy sales, very nice, friendly and professional from the mechanics to the auto detailer. Best experience i ever had buying without all the bull , pushy sales etc.one of the best experiences in buying my BMW. Everything was in order and all that was negotiated and promised was true, no excuses. My deal actually fell through but I would still recommend Richard and his dealership. The vehicle I purchased ended up having issues and Richard had difficulty locating a particular part that was needed. He explained the issue, showed the part, and everything he informed us about was reasonable and understandable. Honest dealers need and deserve appreciation and recognition! Richard was polite and professional. He also showed a check list of exactly what is done to certify a vehicle before transfer. I must admit, I was skeptical at first due to the small size and appearance of the dealership (not that its in bad condition just a smaller establishment) but Richard is great. If you are looking for honesty and integrity, Richards got it. Don't be scared. I know people do not normally write reviews when they have a good experience and after dealing with a few sketchy dealers I made it a habit to shed light on the good and honest folks.
