But after asking my tour guide how, I went back and successfully bought them. Very nice store and the prices seemed good to me. They had some pre-made food and sushi as well although I did not try any of that.

Also, you need a euro to get a basket, so make sure you have change. But you get it back when you return your cart. We were able to pick up some groceries and other household necessities. MPreis overall is a great store with very high quality fruit and vegs, great bread, excellent meat, cold cuts, meat, dairy, etc; they have a nice wine selection. There are many Mpreis's in Tirol and all the ones I've shopped in are consistantly good, some larger than others and some with rather distinctive architecture. This store has saved us many times on a Sunday when guests are coming and we are out of something.
