My family has a lot of history in Langston and owns a part of the land. It was really cool to attend a football game while in town. I'm not a sports fan at all but it was really cool to see the marching band and performances at halftime. They have the same school colors as my high school (orange & blue). Unorganized and lack of communication. Why does the administration not know their bookstore has been closed for two weeks? It is not even the end of February yet! Oh, and good luck emailing the staff because you will be waiting weeks for an answer! It took them 8 months to inform me that the bookstore could not find the books I returned, no receipt, no confirmation, but instead of trying to investigate, the university decided to send me to collections two years later, even after I called the bookstore and agreeing that they made a mistake, but not official communication happened, so now I have to try to prove that they had the ISBNs from 2021. This is Oklahoma's first black college. One of the many graduates of Langston went on to help win the right for blacks to go to law school in Oklahoma. The school was the first in the state to offer a doctorate in physical therapy. Langston now has an additional 3 campuses in the state in OKC, Tulsa, and Ardmore. The school has produced some of the top educators, athletes, musicians, and agriculturalists. Many renovations are currently going on across the main campus. read more
