There were some hardcore Sunday shoppers here and rightly so this place is beautiful. Full on country side vibe with every possible flower and shrub imaginable! I got my trolley and causally stilled around the centre settling on buying some sunflowers and other really hard to pronounce types of flowers for my mom and dads front garden. I have no idea who named some of these varieties of flowers....but they went innnnn...I won't lie a lot of them I couldn't pronounce but I gave it a good go..with varying results.... The flowers here are super cheap too the sunflowers were like 1.50 each and most pots are below £3...bargains galore!! The only thing to note is the tills are busy...people are flocking for a wide for those bargain blooms so set out an afternoon for this trip it's definitely going to take you a a few to see everything and pay....but that's the vibe surely...loved it.

I looked everywhere for some reasonable priced but full hanging baskets last year and found them here. They were so much more better value than anywhere else I had tried. As well as the usual plants, shrubs and flowers, there is a gift area. The gifts are very pretty and range from baby items, wooden crafted items, cards, ceramics and jewellery. They are quite expensive, but if you are looking for something a bit different to the usual high street stores then you might find something here. There is also a fantastic cafe and the food is gorgeous, with things like home made soup or jacket potatoes on the menu. You get loads for your money and the home made cakes are worth popping in for alone! There is plenty of free parking in the car park outside and customer toilets too.

Chapmans is the best garden centre in the local area; there is a good variety of plants, shrubs and trees, which are reasonably priced and very healthy. The tree section in particular has a wide variety of plants, more impressive than most bigger garden centres. The members of staff are cheerful and helpful, and genuinely understand about the plants they are selling, which is a novelty for a garden centre! It also sells mainly plants and plant related products, rather than the myriad of 'tat' that most garden centres sell. The Topiary Tea Rooms is set in a small wooden building, but has a beautiful outlook onto a sun-soaked patio where wild birds feed very relaxing. They only serve drinks and cakes, but I would definitely recommend the cheese scones. As the weather steadily improves, I would heartily recommend Chapmans as a place to go to rejuvenate your garden.

If ever their is a problem with any plants there is never an issue with exchange, which I never had. Kevin is top guy, as is all the staff and their knowledge of all plants is so very helpful. Whenever we visit we always come away with some plant regardless of size, and most important for us, a great cup of tea / coffee and a lush scone or cake all home baked. What can I add " Well done staff and management at Chapmans " You won't be disappointed.

A helpful man guided me through which plants would look best, and how to arrange them so that they would flower during the year and provide a year round display of colour. Being a bit fussy with a desire for a large tree with a root, to allow us to plant out after Christmas, I couldn't immediately find exactly what tree I wanted so Jim (the owner) suggested that I come back a bit later when it was quieter and he would cut me a selection of trees fresh from the field. Later that afternoon we were fortunate to be able to go into the field with Jim and his 'elves' to choose our very own Christmas tree my only advice would be to consider the height of the root plus the tree itself as we slightly overestimated the height of our lounge ceiling! Whilst there my five year old son took advantage of seeing Santa in his Grotto which he loved, and my wife brought some lovely Christmas tree decorations from their Festive Barn; we then had a quick visit to stroke Dorcas the donkey and the baby calves before leaving. The whole 'choosing our own Christmas tree' experience left me amazed as to how nice and helpful the staff of the farm were; as well as Jim and his family there were local villagers helping out at weekends, giving it a really personal and local feel. I'd definitely recommend the Grange Farm Christmas Barn to anyone and make sure to take the kids with you toothey'll love it!

Don't expect fancy displays. However, you'll find an ever changing stock which represents very good value. They do buy in ranges and you can order lots of different furniture form very helpful staff. They also stock one-offs. These will be returns to places like John Lewis - wrong fabric, customer changes mind. Also you will find furniture from photo shoots for companies like John Lewis. I have had great bargains. Buy when you see it as it may not be there when you return. Also check stock carefully. There may be a few marks here and there. All of mine have been fine. Good stylish furniture at a very good price. They deliver for £25.

I would have expected the drivers to at least remove the extensive packaging in their van after assembly instead of dumping it all at the side of the house in a large pile for the wind to spread around the garden. No effort was made to dispose of it. THANKS GUYS. This would be a major problem for an elderly or disabled customer. Perhaps you could think about this........... The self assembly item was just left boxed, so there was no way of checking on quality or damage before they left. They just said phone if there is a problem. Well, the problem is nobody answers the phone.
