Well this August, we will be saying a heartfelt thank you to this outstanding preschool. What an amazing opportunity she (we) has had; and my husband and I have felt supported along the way with parent-teacher conferences, thorough daily electronic communication, and parent panel meetings. The faculty is clean, has true Montessori learning tools, and highly educated and certified teachers. The preschool's administration is attentive to the teachers and family's needs, creating harmonious relationships. Our daughter is exceeding in all areas of her development, reading and journaling at 5 years old. WFM's curriculum and faculty have are absolutely amazing. If you are looking for kindergarten readiness, increasing your child's self regulation, and exploration of diversity of the world, WFM is the best environment.

I was unable to get this review to shoe up. I have 3rd party witnessed that the school is lacking greatly. Having said that, I feel it comes from a lack of talent and skill with any child that is not a textbook nuerotypical child. I don't know much about "Montessori" learning, but clearly, the teachers can not explain it to me either. The people I have had opportunity to speak with are kind and do not seem to be acting malevolently, but I feel they are in situations that do not get addressed by the style of learning they train for so any spectrum level gives them struggles. When considering this school, please take into account the actual learning abilities and ways your child takes in information. Then just don't. The board could have done the right thing, but did not. It will be interesting to see the details come to light in one of the many lawsuits being brought against the school.

Our son was only supposed to go there for 1 year but we loved it so much and it was SO good for him, that we delayed him starting kindergarten by a year. In total, he spent 2 yrs there. He started knowing no Spanish (my husband and I don't speak Spanish) and he ended with a really solid understanding of the language. So much so, that when we went to Spain this summer, locals were impressed with his accent and his ability to speak the language. We actually had no particular interest in him learning a Language, but we really wanted to get him into a Montessori school. This school was amazing for his confidence. He started off as a shy, difficult boy who hated his previous preschool. He blossomed beyond our expectations there. He was more than ready (& not only willing, but excited) to go to kindergarten. He loved his time at Maracas. The staff are amazing and caring and it is such a sweet school that I will always hold very dear. I cannot recommend Maracas Montessori enough. Any child that goes there is a very lucky child.
