Our prime position, just 150 meters from the central beach and the historic marina, makes us the premier gateway for those looking to explore the Gulf of Orosei and the legendary coves of Cala Goloritzé and Cala Mariolu. What truly enhances our guests' stay is the seamless blend of exploration and comfort. We provide a secure, private garage, a rare and essential amenity for those traveling through the winding roads of Ogliastra by car or motorbike. To start your day of adventure, we serve a rich, locally-sourced breakfast featuring authentic flavors of the "Blue Zone," ensuring you are fueled for a boat trip or a hike along the Selvaggio Blu trail. From our doorstep, you can stroll to the 11th-century church and the ancient olive trees that define our village, or reach the port in less than 5 minutes for your sea excursions. At Hotel Nicoletta, we don’t just offer a room; we provide the logistical ease and warm hospitality needed to experience the most authentic side of Sardinia, from the rugged limestone cliffs of Baunei to the turquoise waters of the coast.

An adorable little town right on the water and a superb restaurant in a redone hotel occupying one of the oldest buildings in Santa Maria. One of the owners took our orders and served us herself, taking the time to give us a short history of the city and the building itself. The atmosphere was relaxing and classy and we truly enjoyed just pointing out all the unique antiquities of the old building. The food is local and fresh and very seafoody with some great little extras. The wine collection is great and her recommendations was wonderful. A relaxing evening topped off with a delicious meal! I would definitely recommend to "go out of the way" if you're in Arbatax or Tortola. Theres more atmosphere here than those two larger cities.

The rooms are beautiful, recently remodeled with new bathrooms, and great AC and comfortable beds. They have chairs on the beach and a beautiful pool overlooking the bay. The restaurant is amazingly good, with great seafood dishes. And I love their cocktail bar also overlooking the bay which offers live music serval nights per week. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and always ready to serve their customers with a smile.

The deciding factor for this one star is that we asked for a bucket of ice at the bar for a special bottle of wine we had brought for our last night. The bar staff, although opening 2 bottles for us before and offering us buckets previous nights; on our final night decided they would only offer ice in a bucket for 5€. I've never been to even a 1 star hotel anywhere in the world that will not offer their guests complimentary ice and I travel over 1/2 the time for work. We put our bottle of Dom in the fridge instead of being held hostage to this dystopian hotel. They knew we were on our honeymoon and we felt they were trying to take us over to coals on this. In addition having a 10€ room service charge is very steep, which we did pay for a couple bottles of Prosecco. It is in an idyllic location yet spoiled by their own arrogance . I'd recommend to pass this hotel by as you'd expect complimentary ice from any hotel. Probably the worst ending to a stay I've experienced and a terrible way to treat honeymooners. If you're on your honeymoon go elsewhere. At over 400€ a night you can do much better elsewhere. It's a shame that the management doesn't understand what a 4 star hotel is. No more than a 3 star at best which would be a reach. It's unfortunate that the staff isn't trained to deal with customers expecting a 4 star hotel. Until such time they improve their service, you'd be better served at another hotel. Do t waste your money and time here.

The surroundings are astonishing and the hotel has really utilized on that with magical views (eg magico tablao) and lovely gardens. We enjoyed every minute of this place and want to emphasize that is very easy to spend a week at the hotel without leaving it since it is so beautiful, has small, Sardinian events (a must visit), food is delicious, and the pool is large with two connected jacuzzis. It's close to beaches and beatiful villages like e.g. Cala Gonone (from which you can take a small boat to Cala Luna - one of the world's most beautiful beaches - well worth a visit). Massimo, Camilla, and all staff members were very accommodating, knowledgeable and genuinely nice. Very strong recommendation!

We booked a normal room but since we were there somewhat after the high season, we got the family apartment (with kitchenette) for the same price. This apartment has an enourmous terrace a stunning view on the Gulf of Orosei. The breakfast was the best we had during our stay in Sardinia and offered the most variation. The last day, we could not have breakfast due to our early flight, but the evening before we received a picnic basket with fruit, yoghurt, toasts, marmelade,... The hotel is somewhat older but is recently decorated and has a pool and good WiFi connection (only in common areas). We couldn't have a better stay in Cala Gonone than there.

As soon as we walk in, the rooms are large with wooden desks, wooden armoire, and A/C units. The smell with you first walk in is a nice lemon sent and is very pleasing. The bathrooms are large! Huge sink, nice size shower with toilet and badee. The beds are king size with lamps on both sides. The room also includes wooden door terraces with your own outside tables. Places to hangout include all of the hotel. Outside has lush greenery and flowers with tons of seating. The hotel has a lot of shaded spaces and places in the sun. The hotel also comes with a fitness center. It's quite large and has its own building. It has almost every workout machine there. The restaurant was the most surprising. The chef is noted as one of the best in the area. Every dish is different. Even the same dish on one table has different twist. I had the noddles with prawn and seared tuna. The presentation and the taste of the food was AMAZING. Please don't hesitate to try. The server were also great, and gave us the best recommendations. The breakfast is buffet style with the assortment of yogurt, meat, cheeses, and breads. Each morning has been filling and delightful. Walking distance to the beaches isn't bad at all. It's about 4-5 blocks and you can take a shortcut through a park to get to the beaches. You have two options, pebble beach or sand beach. Each has its own perks. The pebble peach is nice for not dealing with sand. The sand beach has more space and also has pine trees to shade you in the rear. All and all, this hotel is the best place to stay in the area. The staff are all welcoming and speak very good English. Bravo!

This is a wonderful place. A hidden gem where no one would expect to find a secluded escape. This resort is part of the much bigger Arbatax Park resort that is designed for families but this specific hotel is perfect for a couples retreat. There is a covered pool at the hotel and a short decent into the park itself offers you a selection of bigger pools and beaches. Yes, you will have to walk uphill and take several sets of stairs to get back to the hotel so if you are out of shape, then this might not be the place for you. The good: the view, the food, the staff, lots to do At 35 euros per person for one of the best dinner buffet's I have had, this place can not be beat when it comes to the variety and quality of the cuisine. Each night was a different assortment of pastas and main plates. Silvia and Denise at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. Renato, behind the bar, is a whiz at cocktails and knows all the best local wines. The bad: communication, the rooms It would have been good to know all the events and festivities that were available for the park when we arrived; or that reservations are often necessary if we planned on dining at the hotel. Our room was the only one with a big patio on the ground floor facing the ocean. Beautiful patio but the room gets almost no sunlight. Not a big deal if you don't plan on staying inside. The air conditioning is also very loud and results in some humidity and dampness in the room.
