My dog has some bad allergies, and I just wanted to know what I could do to help her scratching. Instead, I got cornered with a ridiculous $1,300 "treatment plan" before anyone had even laid hands on my dog. No exam, no diagnosis, just a scripted sales pitch. It was all about money from the second I walked into that room. Then after sitting around for nearly an hour, the vet finally came in. But before we could even start, the vet tech took it upon herself to bear-hug my 95lb dog with zero warning, zero communication, and zero understanding of proper handling. She didn't ask me to help, didn't ask how to manage my dog , just grabbed her like it was no big deal. If my dog wasn't well trained, that assistant could've ended up in the ER. Absolutely reckless. And the pricing? First $1,200. Then suddenly less than $400. Then somehow it ends up over $500. What the hell is that? Feels like they just throw out numbers to see what sticks. To be fair, the actual vet was the only decent part of the visit. She was direct and gave me straight answers when I asked for no BS. Too bad everything around her was a mess. Bottom line, If you want to waste time, be hustled for cash, and trust your dog to people who clearly have no clue how to handle animals safely then this is your place. I'll never step foot in there again.

Devi is very reactive and I am stressed to go into situations with her. Dr. Kinsey and her staff always treat us with patience and kindness and are happy to get down to Devi's level to make her feel more comfortable. We went in after getting some very serious lab results when with another vet. We were ready to move on before receiving the results. We went in to Dr. Kinsey and she calmly and systematically went over everything with us. Followed up with a few more targeted labs and I am happy to say that Devi is doing well. They don't have anyone/service monitoring the weekend phone inquiries, so I was fortunate to see a "Kennel Girl", Gregory's own words. I asked her to please retrieve my puppy's medication, that he was very sick, and after spending over $4K on my pets, and paying up front, was told by the kennel girl, I won't call anyone. She refused a very sick patient's medication, and the kind of client that I am, to check with someone to see if anyone could help me. Come Monday, I get a call from the young, jacked vet Gregory telling me he refuses to see my sick dog and all my other pets. He never allowed me to explain the situation. When I begged to just let me pick up the puppy's medication, he literally said..."NO. Go find another vet" and hung up the phone. I have a witness to this conversation. We were both shocked. This "vet" should be investigated by the Georgia Licensing Bureau for his complete lack of professionalism and the mistreatment and neglect of an animal, which is a Federal Crime. He killed my puppy, all over the machismo of the honor of a young "Kennel Girl". I hope you're proud of yourself and you lose your license. His name was Poncho. we have been going to vss for over 17+ yrs, dr. shealy, jordan, dr. daters, brittany, frank,…read morerhonda, etc etc we adore them all. there is no one else we would consider to take care of dogs. jordan has always been so kind and will make the drs work us in whenever we call her, that type of customer service rarely exists anymore. dr. shealy has done surgeries on most of our pets, he is like family to us, he is funny but will always tell you the facts, when he did tplo on our first berner aka khan over 17yr ago, he told us that because he was a large breed dog he needed to stay several weeks post surgery for rehab...at first we could not believe that we would leave him there for weeks..but dr. shealy explained with large breeds if we took him home we would probably start letting him go up and down stairs before he was ready and they would not allow that...so, we left him with them. it was the best decision we ever made, our berner came home looking amazing and truly never limped, he had a fabulous 13.5 yrs of quality life (that is a lot of years for a berner). we have used them for all kinds of services over the years, tplo surgery, mast cell cancer, spinal injury, and currently for chemo treatment for lymphoma. i have laughed and cried with them over a pet's diagnosis, but regardless they always give us hope, which is invaluable. with our current bernese mt dog aka gravy receiving chemo for lymphoma with dr. daters and his team, when we walk in for his treatment, the staff always greet gravy and me with a smile and a kind word...as we continue to battle his cancer they continue to be there for us because they truly get it.... the green zoo loves the vss team!!
