Before starting she ask if there was anything I didn't want her to use like certain colors, black eyeliner, etc. My end result was full glam but still so naturally me and I couldn't stop smiling at my reflection. While shooting Meagan guides you like a hype "man"! She has a magical way of Shh'ing the internal (negative) voices so you can just relax and enjoy the moment. The shoot itself is empowering and you leave feeling so proud of yourself but the reveal is the cherry on top. She is supportive and SO patient in helping you choose exactly what you want without pushing a sales pitch. I basically wanted ALL of my photos in print or wall art. Instead of using that advantage, she acted as a neutral party as I talked through where I envisioned my prints in my home to narrow down my final selection. The best thing was that I felt like a supermodel the entire shoot! She consistently told me I looked awesome even though I felt nervous and she even showed me cool poses to try that would hide my insecurities. By the time the shoot was over, I felt like I'd been modeling my entire life! Although the pictures were meant as a birthday gift for my husband, they ended up becoming the boost of confidence this new mom needed and a message to myself...."Damn girl, you're rockin'!" So glad I found them!!!!" I don't have to write some bogus review about Darleen Prem Photography, although I have known her personally for most of my life. Here's why you should believe me even though I of course think she's THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER EVER because she is my friend as well as these reasons: 1) I am a music website & print magazine Editor, so I work with some of the best photographers in the world. I know good work. 2) I was a professional model a long time ago, so I've been "shot" by some of the best photographers in the world and am very picky about my personal pictures. 3) Darleen took some promo pics of me last year of which I received more compliments on than any other photographs ever taken of me. She made this "turning 39 again this year" girl look and feel awesome! 4) I am friend's on Facebook with many famous photographers who have NO motivation whatsoever to go out of their way to "like" or positively comment on Darleen's work (which they do - regularly). 5) I have recommended her to so many friends, businesses, etc. that have all used her and loved her. Her pictures manage to encapsulate an individual's personality in a very unique way - whether human or pet! I think she should charge twice the amount that she does for how extraordinary her work is, but she is a very honest, down to earth person who runs a small business and understands the economy.
