I had been considering a boudoir shoot for a few weeks when I started to do some research. I found Meagan O Photography and one other highly-rated company in Atlanta. Once I took a look at some of the photos on each website, there was no question why I needed to go with Meagan! The images were gorgeous, and the women photographed all looked so confident. I read through some reviews and found that many of the reviewers felt that a boudoir shoot was outside their comfort zone ... that was so. me. This was a total leap for me, and something I'd never thought I'd actually be able to do. But the other reviewers were right! I was actually shaking with nerves when I knocked on the door the day of my shoot, but I was (almost) instantly calmed by Meagan and her team! I sipped on champagne throughout the hair and makeup process (by the way, I am not a makeup wearer or a hair curler, so even this was outside my realm) and felt totally pampered the entire time. The makeup artist was sensitive and understanding about my nerves when it comes to makeup - I wanted to look like me, not like plastic - and she was so gracious when I asked for a more muted color (which she applied and reapplied, patiently). I LOVED the end result and she was so sweet throughout the hour and a half or so that she was making me up! Then, it was time for photos. By now, I was already feeling more confident thanks to the careful attention from the makeup artist, but I was still nervous to be in front of the camera. Meagan explained the process to me and walked me through each pose. She knows EXACTLY what she's doing, and the poses were actually empowering. Her words of encouragement throughout the photo shoot were invaluable and I had a great time with my new friend, Meagan! When it was all said and done, I left excited to come back to review the images. Meagan texted me and we set up a time about a week later - totally easy to schedule - and I was in shock as we went through the photographs. They were so beautiful, and I was so proud of myself for facing my insecurities - because, whoa. Do I really look like THAT? I had a whole new view of myself. Meagan had fantastic suggestions about what photos to select when I was feeling indecisive or unsure, which I seriously appreciate. She had the layout to me the next day - I was so nervous that I waited to look until I was with my best girlfriend, the only one who knew I was taking the photos. I showed her a few, and she couldn't get over how amazing it turned out, either! She knew this was outside my comfort zone and she was over the moon with excitement for me. Anyway, I ordered a book for my boyfriend but it ended up being so much more of a gift to myself. I know it sounds cheesy, but I really needed it and Meagan O delivered. Amazing experience from start to finish! I first contacted Meagan after seeing all the great reviews and then checking out her photos on her website. I sent her an inquiry asking about availability and pricing and she responded within minutes with lots of enthusiasm and details. Once I booked the session she sent even more details with tips on things to bring for the photo session, which was extremely helpful as I really had no idea what to bring. Her studio is in a really cool loft near the Eastside beltline with several different spaces for the photo session, which is nice for getting a variety of settings in the photos. As soon as I got there I got started with hair and makeup. The woman who did my hair and makeup was so nice and did a great job. My hair isn't the easiest to manage and she handled it with no issues, and my makeup looked great without looking overdone. I brought 5-6 choices for outfits and Meagan helped me to pick what would work best, deciding on 4 different looks. Before we got started she asked me questions about what I wanted to get out of the photos, what I was comfortable showing, and even if there were any scars etc. that I would want edited out or not. During the photo shoot she had music playing and gave very easy to follow (and effective!) instructions for posing to get the best photos. Normally I feel so awkward in posed photos but she was just amazing at getting me in poses that felt both natural and sexy at the same time. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she really made me feel so comfortable and confident throughout the whole session. You can tell that she really enjoys what she does, and she made the whole photo shoot a lot of fun. Just one week later I was back for the photo reveal and I was floored by how gorgeous they came out. Going into this I figured I would get one of the smaller photo packages but I just loved too many of them, so I decided to go with a 30-photo package that comes with a photo book and the digitals. Even that was tough to narrow down to, but Meagan was able to help me pick out my favorites and to make sure I had lots of different looks included. I had the digitals in my inbox by the time I got home, and my photo book arrived just over a week after that. I don't even have words to describe how incredibly happy I am that I stumbled across Meagan while searching for a boudoir photographer in Atlanta. She was at the top of the list and after I read her reviews and saw the magic she creates (go look at the website NOW!!) -- I didn't even look at anyone else. Prior to booking, Meagan was quick to respond to all my questions (there were a lot) and described what was included and how pricing works. Once I booked, I received a detailed email about how to prep for the shoot, what to expect and so on. I instantly felt like I made the right decision and waited patiently for our session. Now for the session!! Once I arrived, I was greeted by Jamecia, who transformed me into a gorgeous, glammy version of myself (I'm a t-shirt and converse kind of girl). She warned me that the makeup was heavy but would look amazing in the photos, which I appreciated, and she was so right! When Meagan arrived, I was greeted by a warm hug and the three of us instantly started bonding over our love for Podcasts and I felt like I was with lifelong friends. While my hair was being finished, Meagan was going through the outfits and props I brought. Once I was ready to go, she already had an idea on where she wanted me in the studio with which outfit and accessories. WOW! I have never done a photoshoot, let alone wearing short to nothing, and I instantly felt like I was a pro. Meagan made it so effortless - it was easy to follow her direction, her vision was incredible and her personality is so warm and fun. The session went by SO FAST and I had so much fun!!! At the reveal, I cried. HAPPY TEARS! I have had body issues my entire life and I have never felt so beautiful being who I am. I loved my boudoir photography session with Meagan! The session was a birthday present from my husband. Boudoir photography is something I would never have thought to do for myself, but after having such a great time with Meagan , I truly believe it is something every woman should do. The whole experience has been so positive for me. If you're thinking about it, I encourage you to take the plunge and do it. You won't find a more talented photographer and I doubt anyone else could match Meagan's warm heart and very evident passion for capturing the beauty of each woman she photographs. Meagan is such a genuine person. We had a wonderful conversation while my makeup and hair were done. (Both looked great!) By the time I was ready for the pictures I was completely comfortable. Meagan gives great specific directions for posing and is great at giving you lots of honest, positive feedback. By the end of the session, I was feeling amazing. I have never felt so beautiful in my life. The whole experience was incredibly empowering (a word I usually shy away from, but in this case, it's accurate.) I went into the session not really expecting to love the pictures because I had gained some weight in the year prior. I didn't think they'd be awful. I just didn't think I'd see myself as sexy. I could not have been more wrong. I love the pictures Meagan took. I look gorgeous, confident, sexy, playful and happy. I love them so much I've shown some of them to friends, coworkers and even a server at a restaurant. It sounds like hyperbole, but the experience of having the pictures taken and then seeing the amazing images Meagan captured has had a lasting positive effect on my self image Somewhere deep inside me there was an insecure voice that, when someone said, "You're beautiful," or Wow, you look great!" added caveats like "in spite of your belly," or "for you weight." In 2016, my word for the year was YES. To say yes to more things that came my way instead of finding a reason to say no when something was out of my comfort zone. In late November, I realized I didn't fully live my word for the year. I thought, what can I do to fully experience my word before the end of the year? I thought Boudoir.... WHAT??!! Now, as a curvy girl, dressing in lingerie and heels and then have intimate photos taken of me by a stranger was soooooo far out of my comfort zone I had to say YES - this is it, and I emailed Meagan. Talk about comfort zone, Meagan put me right at ease with our first communication. I was very comfortable with my decision to do this and comfortable that she was the right one to give me this experience. Truth be told, I got a bit discouraged when purchasing a variety of outfits so I wasn't feeling so great about my decision the day of the shoot. When I brought in my attire selections she looked through it all and I could see her creating "my" look and "my" book together in her creative mind. Trust her! AND trust Jamecia - she has the magic wands for your hair and make up! Being a curvy girl, I am one that is not a believer when people say I am beautiful. I am one that doesn't see what other people see. I'm the shy, reserved, funny one. Until I saw the reveal of my images that is. I was stunned! Who was that person in the images? It was so amazing that Meagan captured my shy, sensual, dare I say sexy and also the playful, smiling side of my personality. Also, during the reveal I thought back to the day of the shoot, and some of the crazy positions she had me in, when I was thinking - this is not going to be good... oh yes it was! I don't even know where to start with this review. First, let me say that I'm sorry I can only give Meagan five stars, because she deserves more than that. I had a truly amazing experience with Meagan. Meagan is so down-to-earth, friendly, and genuine, and you feel that the second you read an email from her. I connected with Meagan right away, even through email. She did a great job explaining the process and making me feel extremely comfortable with everything, which is of utmost importance for boudoir photos. She gave me great ideas for outfits, shoes, etc. I arrived the morning of my photo shoot at Meagan's studio and was greeted like an old friend Meagan had known for years. I felt instantly at ease despite baring all or almost all for the camera. Jen did an amazing job on my hair and makeup and while she was doing that, Meagan went through my clothes and shoes and picked and coordinated my outfits for the shoot herself. I felt beautiful, sexy, and so glamorous that morning. Meagan gave amazing instruction and knew exactly how to have me pose. She guided me every step, every motion, and every pose. That guidance was invaluable. About 10 days later was my reveal when I got to see my photos for the first time on the big screen in Meagan's studio. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. I couldn't believe that was me in those photos. Meagan is an artist in the truest sense of the word. The photos were absolutely stunning. I thought maybe I'd just want a copy of a couple of my favorites; I was so wrong about that. I loved them all! From the first email reply to our last in-person visit, Meagan was amazing. I wanted to do something that I was frightened of doing and boy, was I frightened of this! "Being sexy" isn't in my daily repertoire, but the session with Meagan was fun, easy, humorous, and SO empowering. Meagan is sweet, authentic, positive, professional, and hysterical. She felt like a best friend! After getting over my initial nerves and actually walking up to the studio, Meagan made me feel right home. The day flew by as she sat and got to know me and let me get to know her, she helped pick outfits and planned the day, and then the direction began. There was never a moment i felt uncomfortable or unaware of what I should be doing. Meagan made sure I knew exactly why I was posing the way I was so it didn't seem arbitrary or invasive. The day was wonderful! And the follow up was even better! In what seemed like a split second, Meagan edited the photos down to a manageable number for our viewing. I was purchasing photos for an anniversary gift and digital images to send to my long-distance husband as a prelude. Meagan helped me select the best images for a cohesive album, prints, and digitals that all worked together. By far, this was the best gift I ever gave myself in terms of a new perspective I gained of myself, my strength, my femininity, & my courage. It certainly was the best gift I ever gave my husband. I gave him the images in late 2015 (Meagan, i am so sorry it had taken me this long to review!!), and just last week my husband hinted at wanting an updated set of images! Truly an amazing experience! I was so hesitant about doing this but I had friends from different states having their own shoot done for their spouses. They convinced me to research and find a photographer in my home state. I literally googled boudoir photo shoot in Atlanta and MeaganO came up with 5 star reviews. I knew she had to be doing something right. So I filled out an online questionnaire and she got back to me almost immediately! She was so friendly over e-mail, answering all my questions, I knew in my gut I made the right decision. She is very responsive and calmed all my fears. The session was a wonderful day. I got all glammed up with hair and make up prior to the start of the session (included in you photo session). I never realized I could look so good! And I never had the confidence to look "sexy" or even know what that means, but meagan knew how to direct me! If there was ever instructions on how to look sexy, Meagan will tell you how to do it! And trust me, in the end you will look amazing! When the reveal happened a few weeks later, my jaw dropped! I swear, I felt like my photos belonged in a magazine spread! Even when I revealed them to my husband, he was shocked! At first, he wanted to know who took those pictures (lol, I assured him it was a professional female photographer). After that, he was just stunned. The quality was amazing! I posted tasteful photos online and all my friends inquired who my photographer was because they definitely want to do a boudoir shoot like this in the future. If I could give a 100 stars to Meagan I absolutely would!!! She is an absolutely amazing person and photographer. From the very beginning she was very attentive and quick to respond to all of my questions before we even met. Once I arrived at her studio and I met her in person, I immediately felt like I was meeting an old friend. She makes you feel so comfortable and talks you through the whole process from beginning to end. What I loved most is that there was no pressure to "be sexy", she gives such incredible direction as far as poses and angles and makes it all feel very easy. Her studio is incredible! And the setting really lends to some amazing pictures that you just don't typically see in boudoir sittings. It's not just all about you on a bed (although the bed poses are amazing!), but she uses the whole space in such a unique way. When I came back to see my photos I couldn't believe it! They were absolutely gorgeous! In fact I had planned on only get some of them, but when I saw how amazing they were, I ended up buying them all!! They were so good that I just couldn't choose! She has such a beautiful technique with lighting and angles that truly brings out the beauty in every single person. I left this whole experience with a new confidence in myself that I never had before! AHHHMAZING experience and photos! Meagan is 10 stars out of the 5 I can give her. She is the best photographer around - her talent, passion, and energy show in her beautiful works of art. I did the shoot as a gift for my husband, but little did I expect that I was going to leave the shoot feeling empowered, strong, beautiful, and sexy. It is something every woman needs to experience!!! I went in shy, embarrassed, awkward, and not sure I could go through with it. But Meagan is very talented and personable. She is so easy going and has a special nact for making you feel comfortable. We laughed and had a lot of fun. I never had to try to make a sexy pose or face. Meagan did all of that with her cues and camera. Gosh, she is incredible! She put so much attention into the details to make me look beautiful such as moving hair around or perfectly positioning a piece. The shadows, the colors, the light... they were all perfectly put together. When my husband saw the photos... WOW! He still looks at them everyday and is so proud I am his wife. He says it is the best gift I have given him in the 20 years we have been together. He thinks they are magazine worthy. I chose to do this shoot for my fiancé but was reluctant as we waited till marriage and I did't want this shoot to take away from our wedding night. Not only that I had never worn lingerie and felt a bit awkward and uncomfortable. However within minutes of the session I felt gorgeous, beautiful sexy. Meagan knows how to pose you, she doesn't just talk you through the poses she does them with you which puts you at ease. This boudoir shoot turned into so much more than a gift for my husband. It made me feel gorgeous, desirable and sexy. I also became super comfortable in lingerie and being naked in front of someone else. I had never seen myself in that light before. When I gave the pictures to my husband the morning after our wedding night he was in complete shock- his reaction tickled me to death... it was priceless and absolutely perfect!! What I love most about my session with Meagan is that she truly cares about her clients, it is more than a session or a transaction. She invest in your story and wants to hear about their reaction. Meagan was so much fun to work with! I did a LOT of researching different photographers before I picked one to do a boudoir shoot of me for my husband's wedding gift. I wanted to make sure that the photographer I picked would be someone I would feel comfortable with - 'cause I figured this was going to be an already uncomfortable experience. But Meagan was so sweet and so encouraging and so positive that I actually had a ton of fun! And I would totally do this again. The pictures turned out SO beautiful. I knew my husband would love them no matter what, but I actually love them, too! I was losing weight for my wedding, and I wasn't quite where I wanted to be yet when the photoshoot rolled around. But I couldn't be happier with how the pictures turned out - and it's not all editing. Meagan knew just how to pose me so that I looked fantastic! At the beginning of the session, she showed me one of the first pictures she took of me just so that I could see how great I looked without any editing at all, and that definitely helped me feel more confident for the rest of the session. Ladies...stop what you're doing and schedule a session with Meagan! No more putting it off or thinking to yourself "am I ready?" Yes! Yes, you are. This was an INCREDIBLE experience that ALL women owe themselves. I have never felt sexier or more empowered. First, you start in hair and makeup with Jamecia who is warm and inviting. Her art is beautiful and capturing. She'll complement your bone structure and skin tone perfectly to create your "vision" - I wanted to channel my inner Dita and Jamecia nailed it. In sweeps Meagan with her beautiful, "bouncy" aura, which immediately puts you at ease. You're two dear friends and one just happens to be photographing the other in all their glory. ;) Meagan does a fabulous job of providing direction that you won't have to question or stress over; she makes the session fun and lite! I left our session glowing and that glow continued for days. Fast forward one week (she's fast) and my husband and I are sitting in Meagan's studio just in awe of her work. All that to say...I feel amazing. The end result went well beyond expectations. My wish is for all women to know this sensation and have something to look back on years from now. I can only classify my experience as "Over the top!". I've read the other reviews and sort of believed them but didn't think those types of experiences would apply or translate to me. I was really nervous and almost regretful after booking about the prices. It's not something I could justify- financially. To spend that much money on something for me. About me. Just not something I do. I take pride in putting everyone in my family before me. Shame on me. My shoot was 2 months ago and Im still high on it. Guess what? I'm hot. And sexy. And I brought my husband to the reveal. It was his bday gift from me. I had a budget and prepared Meagan for my price range. We had our game faces on. Shes a great collaborater. And Ryan, my super practical, ok cheap, husband watched the slideshow reveal and I was so nervous if he would like it or not!!! And, as Meagan predicted and I scoffed at "you don't know how cheap my husband is!!!". He said nothing! Through the whole thing! Crickets. But when I said, " you get to choose 18 of your favorites.". He put his elbows on his knees, hands to his face. Looked at Meagan and asked, "how much for all of them?". And we took them all home. I think THAT was the very best part. read more

After having my second baby, I was in a bit of a rut. My husband got me this session as an Anniversary gift and I was very skeptical at first. Surely this was more a gift for himself, right? He finally convinced me to look into it, and when I came across Meagan's website something changed. I went from dreading the whole thing to comfortable with and even excited for a total stranger to take pictures of me in my underwear (or less...) The shoot was a blast! Both Meagan and her fantastic hair/makeup artist were very professional and personable in a way that eased my nerves almost instantly. We talked about how everything was going to happen and she made sure to get details about what I was/was not comfortable with before we got started. She paid attention to every detail: adjusting body position, hair, clothing straps until she got the perfect shot. There is nobody else that I would trust with budoir photos other than Meagan. She was the most amazing photographer to work with EVER! My session was at 9 in the morning so there was no way I could justify a mimosa that early so I just went all in and it was amazing! Meagan provides a very talented makeup artist roger you ready while Meagan herself gets your outfits ready and thinking about the shoot. Once Makeup and hair is down, its go time! The best thing about Meagan is that she will never make you do anything you do t want to do...essentially she finds out more about you and your partner and then the magic happens. Before you know It you are having such a great time at the shoot that 3 hours have passed and ya gotta go. She also invites you back to look at the photos which was a fun experience that I enjoyed SO much! She shows you yourself but in a different light and it's awesome!!!! I HIGHLY recommend Meagan O Photography! She is so sweet and professional and made me feel more comfortable than I ever would have expected. A friend of mine recommended Meagan so I sat for a shoot for a wedding gift to my future husband. I thought for sure I would only buy the smallest package because I don't feel very photogenic and hate most of my pictures. Meagan proved me wrong. I loved so many pictures that I couldn't decide. She helped me decide what to keep/print and I could not be any more thankful. The woman she works with for hair and make up also does a fantastic job! I since hired her too for other hair and makeup events! There are so many good things to say about Meagan I know I will miss something. You will come out of it not only looking like Wonder Woman but more importantly feeling like her too! There's nothing you cannot accomplish once you see yourself the way Meagan's camera sees you. I highly recommend Meagan O Photography! Meagan is such a sweet amazing person and it reflects through her beautiful artistic photos and business! She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. She's very professional and fun! She gave me pointers on how to pose and position myseld, as I did not know what I was doing. But it didn't show in any of my photos. Her makeup artist is amazing too and did such a great job. As I was getting my makeup and hair done Meagan sat down with me and we got to know each other. That made me feel so much more comfortable and I appreciate her taking the time to do that. She made me feel welcome right when I walked in the door and she offered me a drink and played great music! She also gave me a lot of info and helped me prepare for our photoshoot prior. I was able to successfully prepare for our photoshoot.
