The meat was tender and flavorful, and the flour shells looked homemade. The salsas also tasted homemade--the green salsa has a powerful kick, the red less so but still pretty strong. I washed it down with a jamaica agua fresca. Got a 32 oz. cup, undiluted (no ice) for $3. The tacos were $2.50 each. So I got lunch for less than $10, and it was excellent. I would do that again any time. Had some minor communication issues--I asked for rice and beans and the server put it in the tacos, which actually was pretty good. The store is impressive. Spotless inside, everything neat on the shelves. The restrooms are imposing, high ceilings and faux marble tile, with very modern fixtures. Definitely worth a stop.

I've heard of burgers at car washes but never burgers at a grocery store/laundromat. Yep, they own the laundromat next door too. I came mainly for the burger and jalapeno poppers, but sadly they no longer have the latter, not enough people ordered them. I simply ordered a burger basket with onion rings instead of fries, big mistake! The onion ring breading was so rock hard, it hurts my mouth when I tried to bite into them. The burger weighs in at about 1/3 pound and is pressed very thin. It resembles and tastes nearly identical to Whataburger, with exception of one important thing, they use fresh ground beef here. No surprise a lot of Yelpers mention Whataburger in their reviews. My patty was cooked medium, but they don't ask how you want it cooked. The burger normally comes with toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard and mayo. I added sliced, pickled jalapenos for free at the suggestion of the lady taking my order. I also added a 500 mL Mexican Coke and the total came out to about $7. They also use American cheese, so I skipped that. As compared to Hippo burger, which I had to pass just to get here, I like the buns here more, since they hold up well. However, Hippo has a more flavorful beef patty, and it's thick which is my preference. Average service when placing my order, but the man at the cash register was very friendly and seemed like one of the owners. They don't have anywhere to sit down inside, so its definitely to-go only. Next time I come back, I'll try a double burger with fries.

The bathrooms are above-average clean for a gas station and are very modern. It looks like a great place to buy beer--they have a selection equivalent to a grocery store and a dedicated walk-in cooler. The food is another story. I've seen the food well-stocked, but I went in at noon on a Saturday for something hot and was disappointed. They didn't have the chopped beef sandwich or sriracha burger that they advertised as a special. I think they were understaffed and didn't manage to stock. I ended up with a sausage on a stick and a choice off the roller grill. They did have a good variety there, including a breakfast sausage that was tempting, but in the end I went with a pepperoni pizza grilled sausage, with some "chili" and cheese from the dispensers. Gourmet food it was not, but actually not half bad. The sanitary conditions for the food were good. The buns were individually wrapped, and the drink cup lids were in dispensers that cut down on fingering the stack. They had two Freestyle machines, and both appeared to be working properly, which you can't take for granted. The gas is a bit above average in price, but it's convenient and I'm happy to patronize it.
