We didn't act right away, but kept the business card. A month or so later, we headed out to the nursery in Rutland. It was in the country & set back off the road, so at first we thought we might be in the wrong place. We found the parking lot & then bumped into Joe. We showed him pictures of our house and let him know what we wanted done. He gave us a tour of the nursery, and was at our home within a week to give us recommendations & a design plan. I know not a thing about plants, I often kill them just by looking at them. We had to put our trust in his knowledge & insight. The old trees & shrubs were pulled out using caution not to destroy our stone wall or foundation. The workers were polite, efficient, and respectful of our property. He was confident in exactly what we needed, stating that he did jobs like this all the time. He gave his honest opinion on how to best approach the job and gave me a quote that came in lower than the ones I had received elsewhere, which included haul away of the branches. We booked for a few weeks out due to the upcoming holiday weekend (4th of July) but then Randy called and said they had an opening for the following day and we hopped on it. The crew showed up 5 min early and got to work quickly. Randy stopped by to go over the details and let his guys take care of the rest.
