Our visit to Evan's King Floral wasn't the most happy of trips. My family and I were tasked to…read morepurchase floral arrangements for my grandmother's funeral. Needless to say, we were stressed and exhausted. I went online to estimate the cost of such flowers and found outrageous prices! I called other local florists and the none of the staff seemed very professional. Luckily, my stepfather recommended Evan's because he had good experiences with them. I pretty much passed the place almost everyday for 20 years, but never stopped in. Mom and I went down there and were greeted by a friendly pup who lives at the store, and later, an adorable kitty! Anyway, the lady working asked why we were there and immediately showed us to the books that contained the funeral arrangements. All we knew was gram loved purple, and she was wearing her favorite blue dress. We look at all the books and just gave her some suggestions- blue, purple, bright, some pink, etc. We left feeling a bit worried because we were all over the place. And as for the price- for two sprays and a pillow, it came out to less than $400. I was blown away after remembering the prices online!! When we arrived at the funeral home, I didn't even get to look at the flowers before someone came up to me and said what a great job we did. They looked AMAZING. They had all of the qualities we wanted for gram's last farewell. We made sure to let everyone know- it wasn't us that did the great job, it was Evan's King Floral!!
