We didn't act right away, but kept the business card. A month or so later, we headed out to the nursery in Rutland. It was in the country & set back off the road, so at first we thought we might be in the wrong place. We found the parking lot & then bumped into Joe. We showed him pictures of our house and let him know what we wanted done. He gave us a tour of the nursery, and was at our home within a week to give us recommendations & a design plan. I know not a thing about plants, I often kill them just by looking at them. We had to put our trust in his knowledge & insight. The old trees & shrubs were pulled out using caution not to destroy our stone wall or foundation. The workers were polite, efficient, and respectful of our property. The new plantings went in at least 7 days earlier than promised. The result? Couldn't be happier. It's been about 2 months now, and I haven't killed the plants yet. Even still, I'm glad they come with a guarantee!

Joe provided free delivery at a time convenient to me. These have now been planted over a year and are doing great. Joe provides other services as well, but I go for the plants. The plants he offers are not cheap, but are high quality, and are grown locally in Rutland. I would prefer if Joe accepted credit cards, but I understand that it's additional overhead.

We put the deposit down and within a few weeks they were out here. Did a tremendous job, completed all of the work exactly as requested, and as promised Jeff showed up to oversee the work being done and ensure everything was correct. The guys doing the work were extremely professional and polite. We will most definitely be using them in the future.

Despite being told multiple times not to do any work without meeting with me. They planted the wrong plant in the incorrect place. In addition, it took multiple phone calls to get a response. Oh boy was i mad! They denied doing it! Like who else tresspassed onto my property to do this? Ughhhh. My aunt had used them before and they left all the leaves in front of her house AFTER SHE TOLD THEM THAT THEY NEEDED TO PICK THEM UP OFF THE STREET. They even replied "yup we'll do that too". They were supposed to do a fall clean up, picking up everything and did hardly anything but MOWED OVER EVERYTHING with their standing lawnmower. And blower. It wasn't worth that much $$! How can they call themselves "Landscaping Architects"?? I will NEVER use these guys again after these incidents. Even my neighbors have complained to me about them as well! They ruined my neighbors mail box. I had to pay for it too! I called Sunshine and they DENIED IT! Boy was I mad! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS IF YOU HAVE A NICE HOUSE WITH VALUABLE THINGS IN YOUR YARDS. We discussed what we were looking to do and he wrote up the estimate and design options in his truck in 20-minutes. The attention to detail is meticulous with guys. They were extremely quick completing the job in 5-days including all the landscaping. Joe was very receptive to any concerns we had and appeased on on a couple of minor additions with a smile on his face. Everyone on the crew was friendly and very cordial. Now in retirement, I went to a garden supply business right next door to my old house a couple of years ago to buy a small container of loam to deal with an issue, and after measuring the container -was told they wanted $150. That's about what a small dump truck full of loam would have cost at The Yard. I took my container to the yard, and he would not even take any money for it. A couple of days ago, I stopped in again and filled 2 small containers with screened loam, and one container with stones, and I had to insist that he take ten dollars.
