Found this place based on a recommendation by a fellow traveler we met in Budapest. Also found them via NYTimes as one of its recommended restaurants in Prague. The place itself is easy to miss as the sign is rather small, and located in a busy area. But once in, you will find a very charming underground Mexican spot. When we visited for lunch, the place was full and smelled amazing - we immediately knew we found the right place. The food itself was good - had the pork tacos and mango margaritas - both amazing. Food was on point. It's not the tex mex that I am used to as the burritos were a bit smaller than expected. As were the black bean and rice sides. The rice was kind of weird tasting actually. I got the burrito and it was very tasty and cheesy, My friends ordered salads but they got the order wrong but then they fixed it. Personally, I think the food took a bit too long to come out (burritos and salads are pretty quick to make I think). I also got a glass of horchata which was sweet and delicious. We went here yesterday andere had an amazing experience. The place is somewhere underground and really cozy with really Nice staffmembers. The food was also amazing and you get alot for what you pay. The winners of the night were the drinks by far! You can get 1L of iced lemonade (all amazing in taste) for only 119Kc (4,50). Dining date August 9, 2015 for dinner. Sat outside with high expectations after reading the reviews. I must say that I was not disappointed! Not only was the food delicious, authentic Mexican, the waiters were very friendly and helpful. They made menu suggestions to my six year old daughter and she was very happy. They even brought out some samples for her to try before she made up her mind. The waiters also were helpful in suggesting other places for us to try based on our conversion. But it was the excellent Mexican food that will have us coming back again. read more

I'll say it, I am a straight up taco snob. That said, I was *super* happy with my Al Pastor tacos from Las Adelitas. The meat was well seasoned, served in a generous amount and with the correct toppings of onion, cilantro and pineapple. The orange side habenero salsa was also excellent spicy. Well it has been said they have the best Mexican in eastern Europe, but I guess thats like saying some restaurant has the best borscht in Fiji. I have had Mexican food in Tulum as as well as some pretty good interpretation of Mexican food at home and abroad. This was not even close. The taste ranked somewhere above Taco Bell but below Chi chi's. The pitch of Margaret's was weaker the the junk they serve tourists getting off the plain in Cancun at that cheesy bar near the van pickups. The service was slow and awful. We never got several of the items we ordered and they beat our walk out timer by one minute. I am guessing the waitress saw the countdown timer on our phone and got the hint. All and all it was the worst meal we had in Prague. I would recommend staying away. However given that it is in the old town square I guess they will continue to hoodwink tourist into eating there. read more

Food was solid as were our margaritas, however service was poor. Our waiter Ricardo was rude and came to our table quite hostile after he failed to come by our table for around 15 minutes and I ordered a round from the bar who tended to us right away. Food is good but they will rip you off at every opportunity. Ask for chips and salsa and you will be shown the price for chips which is US $2.70. They will begin to walk away and ask of what sort of salsa will you like. That is if course another $2. Both of these are standardly free in Mexico and USA. Advertised inside is a 59kr tequila shots. Ask for a shot without seeing a menu and expect to pay $5 (100kr +). read more

Great food! It's weird that I had to travel all the way to Prague for great tacos but here I am! I got a strawberry margarita and the cochinita tacos (which were fantastic). One of my favourite Mexican restaurants in Prague. In summer, you can sit right at Male namesti, sip mojitos and watch happy tourist crowds passing by. The waiters speak Spanish (just in case you need it), the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Due to location, there are quite a few tourists stopping by for a meal every time. The menu offer is quite big, and the food is very tasty. The waiters are friendly, but the service can be pretty slow. read more

Love love love this place. Gives me the Spanish vibe with actually Spanish speaking waiters. Plays salsa music and your allowed to smoke and drink there at the same time . The smoke of others doesn't get to you because ventilation is very good. The margarita are prefect! And the food is great. read more

In my ever lasting quest to eat Mexican in every city I go to, if possible, a friend took me here. It is not bad. The portions were decent and the food was tasty. It was a little too mild for my taste, but I like my Mexican muy calienti. The margaritas are good and come in a variety of flavors and the beer is pretty reasonably priced for city center. I will be trying the one in Vinohrady as it is closer to my place, and if it is at all comparable, I may become a regular. read more

Was only in Prague for 12 days and managed to come here 3 times. In other words, this place is amazing. Friendly staff, food is prepared quickly, and all at decent prices. For those craving some Mexican food in Prague, you cannot miss out on this place. There is a sign outside the door saying "Best Mexican Food in Prague" and I most certainly agree with that statement. As with the VInohrady branch, the food here is quite good (I always get the tacos al pastor, which aren't available at the others place), and while the service is maybe not quite a stellar as at the one on Americka (they do get a crapload of tourists, after all), it's still a fine place to pop into for some chow and drinks. First, the service was wonderful. Compared to Mexican in the US, the price was ridiculously cheap. Chips, pico, margarita, 2 entrees... All for $20 USD. I think that's extremely inexpensive. Now, the food.... It was standard. I wasn't wowed by it but it wasn't terrible either. Would I come back again, no. Not because the service and prices weren't great but because the food wasn't. We were craving Mexican food after traveling through Europe for a few weeks and were pleasantly surprised this place was minutes from our hotel. We had called and reserved as we heard it fills up fast. The evening started with beers and margaritas followed by nachos and guacamole. The nachos were crispy and topped with delicious pork. The Mango margarita was sweet and spicy which paired well with the nachos. We then went on to share the enchilada combo. Our favorite was the super spicy red! No room for dessert after such a decadent meal but we enjoyed our little piece of Mexico in the middle of Prague. read more

I live in a border town in San Diego and I know what authentic Mexican food is and Las Adelitas definitely scores major points on that end. Was surprised to find such great food in Europe. I want to give them a better review, I really do. In the past this was a great restaurant and the one at Namesti Miru is still okay, but this visit was very disappointing. We had a reservation for 7, and we're placed at a table that would have fit 4 comfortably. We started with 2 beers and a pitcher of margaritas with 5 glasses. The waitress brought 4 beers and 2 glasses. We told her in Czech that it wasn't right, and we needed 3 more glasses. She huffed at us and wandered off. After waiting in vain for our glasses, we were able to flag her down and ask for the extra glasses, she told us that she had told our server and we had to wait. We were so close to the bar we could touch it and see all the glasses. After another few minutes, they finally brought the glasses. When the food came and again the order was wrong, the server came to the table and fought with one of us about what we had ordered instead of apologizing and just fixing it. I also got the feeling that they were pushing really hard for us to keep adding more thi gs to the bill. At the end they had the gall to add a 10% tip to the bill. There was a mistake on the bill and we asked for it to be corrected, and our waitress tried telling us we were wrong. She then demanded that we give her a bigger tip and we declined. The good and service were good. It was a younger, seemingly hostel sort of crowd which isn't bad necessarily but they of course all smoked like chimneys and that was a little annoying. The restaurant is in a basement so there are no windows and zero ventilation. The smoke was a bit much and in fact we probably wouldn't go back, it was so bad.
