Decent brunch buffet for about 18 euros. The selection included yogurt, local cheeses and meats, sausages, pancakes, bread, etc. I tried a little of everything (why not!) and overall enjoyed my experience. The scrambled eggs were great with the hot sauce and the sausage was exceptional. I didn't love the meats or cheeses but it might be a matter of personal preference. The pancakes weren't good at all though - very hard and dry. I ended up eating it more as a vessel for Nutella. The juices offered were a nice bonus. I had some apple juice and tried the orange(?) - the latter was very watery and off. Again, not sure if it's just a local thing and I don't have the taste buds for it. There was also coffee included in the buffet although I didn't have any. Upon paying they asked if I was staying at the hotel located there and I truthfully answered no. Not sure if there's a discount for hotel guests. They take card and the payment process was seamless. A fun, comfortable space with good service. The fries were good as was the beer flight. It's a lot so I shared it with another person. I enjoyed the dark beers and the cherry one. That was a surprise as I don't normally like fruit flavored beers. The onion rings were not quite as crispy as I hoped and tasted a bit on the old side. However, we ate around 11pm and my friend liked them. They close around 11:30pm and they were quick to ask you to leave, albeit in a nice way. It's attached to a hotel and we stayed there so it was super convenient! Would definitely go back for drinks. read more

The boys had to check this place out after we all laughed at the sign. They wanted to stay for a beer but we needed to keep moving. So my husband settled with a tee and a light promise we could stop back by on the way back to our hotel. We did make it back the place was packed. Service overall was slow from ordering to getting drinks, all the way to getting the bill. The food was good but more expensive than other places. Maybe you're paying for the vibe because it is a place to chill and listen to good music. We ordered the cat club, loaded fries, a salad, 2 beers, and 2 wines. Our bill was over $48 US. I wouldn't recommend the loaded fries, stay with the regular. The cheese is not real, more of the liquid type such as nacho cheese. The sign outside is in English will draw us in. My wife and I visited Fat Cat Beer and Burger Bar while we were in Prague, and our server Ali made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, kind, and genuinely interested in us as visitors. He asked where we were from and what brought us to Prague, and the conversation felt completely sincere. It was refreshing and really meaningful. Our food came out quickly and exactly as we ordered it, and it was excellent. But what truly stood out was Ali himself. He was one of the most thoughtful and friendly people we met during our entire trip. He made us feel at home right there in the restaurant. The management should be very proud to have someone like Ali on their team. He represents the best kind of hospitality. Because of him, Fat Cat became one of our favorite memories from Prague. Service was good, however food was god awful. Super disappointed as it was highly recommended by trip advisor and never listening again to them. Chicken was rubbery and wierd in the chicken quesadilla, wings were sub par and overly spicy, nice staff but I feel bad for what they have to work with. Needs a new head chef to to an overhaul on the quality. Wife felt sick after even. Do deeper research as it's overpriced so didn't just hurt our stomached. read more

Horrible tourist trap. I was trying to have breakfast nearby but the line was too long. I went for the Fat Cat buffet breakfast. I was also told to move to a smaller table after being told to sit anywhere, even though the place was empty. Almost $20 and they didn't tell me they were shutting down in 10 minutes, so I was told to hurry and get my food. Everything was just gross. Pancakes were hard, burned little pucks. We have had some really great beer while in Prague, not sure how they managed to gather the worst beer into one restaurant. The burgers are almost raw, so order them well if you want to be able to eat it. The best thing we ordered were the bacon fries. The normal fries have a weird taste to them. It's all about the beer here. Fat cat had outdoor tables as well as a core beer garden/atrium style set up inside which looked great for group seating. The Food was pub grub; hotdogs, huge burgers, Ribs, Fries, Salads with Protein which was good on a hot day. The food is just A-OK. Servers were nice and always checking on beer refills on time, just as a Glass was empty. My hubby really enjoyed their IPAs we were surprised they had several varieties in the land of Pilsner. My favorite, which I had to come back by twice as it was so good, was the seasonal Cherry Beer, very well done, I was impressed! Def a great lunch stop while walking about Prague. read more

However the food is mediocre, overpriced, and bleh... I had high hopes but should have known that this place wasnt going to live up to it. At least they had some microbrews here. However the fat cat logo is unique and as the munchkin would say adowable... I did get a shirt and like it... So come and enjoy the overpriced beer (granted that was good) and the so so grub. The service was decent but not as greatas many other tourist traps in the area. Personally, if i go back I will be passing on this place. Fat Cat seems to exclusively appeal to foreigners, but as a group of six Americans, we felt comfortable in this spacious burger and beer place. It's right on Karlova -- a street I was warned to avoid -- but leads right to the Charles Bridge. Keeping in mind that it's not some super authentic Czech experience, you can still have a good time here. Our servers were super nice and we were given our drinks promptly. Two of us split the local beer flight plus two ciders. I enjoyed the cider more than the beer but none of them were atrocious. If you have some time to spare in the area and don't feel like going in gift shops, this is a reliable spot. read more

Tourist catch! Definitely a great spot to grab a beer if you are not Czech and do not expect to pay reasonable price for your beer like Czech people would. The beers are very good and tasty here, but very overpriced for Czech standards. I recommend their wheat beer. One of the things that stood out to me is that this was a first place in Czech Republic where I saw Michelada on the menu. It is a traditional Mexican beer based cocktail. If you are a ketchup/tomato fan, I recommend you to try it! I drink it all the time when I am in Mexico. Nevertheless - back to Fat Cat, the service here is very nice and the ambiance of the place is great. The brewery/restaurant is very spacious even though it might not look like that at the first sight when you enter. We did not order any food because my Mexican boyfriend was excited to try some more Czech food which they do not have much in Fat Cat. However, the food did smell and look nice and if we did not get so full after having four beers each, I would probably try something. This seems to be a good burger place. read more

This is one of the few times I'd have to say that Yelp has steered me wrong. We went to Fat Cat with high hopes, as many yelpers proclaimed they had the best burger in town. Unfortunately we left a bit disappointed. The positives - service was spectacular, portion sizes were large, and the restaurant was clean and spacious. We came around 8p on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately. Unfortunately the food was where they fell short. The burger patties themselves were unseasoned and just meh. The bacon that came on our burger was super undercooked - there was no crispness at all, it was just kinda limp and fatty. We also split an order of the wings, which came with veggies and a super bland yogurt dip as well as bread and more bland cheese dip. It's probably the only time in 10+ years that my boyfriend has not liked an order of wings. The forest fruits milkshake was just a load of sugary syrup. The beer list looked promising, though we were all beered out from the weekend and didn't sample any. All in all, there are way better restaurants nearby to get your fill. read more

Our last dinner in Prague so my husband wanted to eat here. Cute pub with lots of seating. He had the fat cat burger which was huge and yummy I had a hot dog which was not your ordinary dog. We also shared then Parmesan fries. My husband had the house beer. Was very good! So smooth! We stayed at the hotel above the Fat Cat, Palac U Kochu, which, I believe, means fat cat in Czech. It is located a few minutes off the main old city square and well worth the short walk. As hotel guests we were able to use a 10% discount and the convenience upon arrival initially enticed us. We subsequently ate several meals at the outdoor cafe, all of which were delicious. I had: their special hot dog which was more of a sausage smothered with onions pickles etc and a delicious dressing one night, the salmon with pasta in a scrumptious cream sauce, and a great chicken club sandwich all with were washed down with an array of foamy pub brewed draft beers from their taps. My wife enjoyed their salads and had grilled chicken added which were also expertly prepared. I would highly recommended their chef made cuisine which was somewhat less expensive and less chaotic than the bustle of the cafes on the main square. The wait staff spoke perfect English and was professional. They could accommodate any request we made for decaf coffee, ice, desserts etc. As hotel guests we also had a complete buffet breakfast included which was also excellent and convenient. I would recommend the hotel and restaurant to anyone traveling to Prague. The central location helpful staff, convenience and quality suited our needs perfectly. read more
