I was not asked what I wanted to drink so I waived a waiter down to give them my drink order. The waiter was not friendly and answered questions abruptly and rushed. I felt like I was bugging him each time I needed something. And finally when our appetizer tacos came out (4 orders) they were extremely salty and had to be sent back. The restaurant is an old home decorated with antiques in a style reminiscent of Cracker Barrel; old pictures, tools, and antique gadgets fill the walls. One room is like stepping into a small country store out of the wild west. Another room has wooden fencing, saddles, and lights made of old wagon wheels. The music ranged from traditional mariachi to a smooth big band slow dancing style. A true delight! The food is traditional Mexican: tacos, enchiladas, and all kinds of delicious Mexican delectables, served by a friendly staff, and accompanied by a fantastic salsa! Bathrooms are small but clean. This is a great place for families, small groups or even a business meeting. I highly recommend Mina Vieja!
