The drink wasn't spicy, so I asked if they could make it a bit hotter. They added more Tajín. Fine. Not what I meant, but not worth arguing about. The real issue came with the bill. I was charged nearly 600 pesos for the mezcalitas. When I asked why, I was told that because I requested extra spice, they charged me as if I had ordered another drink. Meanwhile, their margaritas are listed at 119 pesos. Charging hundreds of extra pesos because a customer asks for a little more spice is absurd. The food was mediocre, the restaurant smelled like sewage inside, and the server had already added himself a 15% tip. When I declined the automatic gratuity, he was clearly unhappy about it. I still left 10%. After two visits involving questionable charges, disappointing food, and poor service, we won't be returning.
