I was told that they have a ´Taco Tuesday ´ deal and décided too check it out. There were 2 customers seated and I was just ordering takeout from my dad and I. Ordered 4 hard shell tacos,2 soft tacos and a side order of rice. Total cost was 10.25$. I left a 4$ tip. Server told me it would take 15 minutes. I thanked her and told her that I would be outside and will be back in 15 minutes. Came back in waited another 10 minutes (total of 25 minutes)..? Finally they chef came out of the kitchen and asked me if she could help me? Explained to her that I placed a very simple order ( no added or special requests). She server didn't bother putting in my order..?!! Took over 35 minutes for 6 tacos and a side order of rice. Will not be returning. read more

Don't let the outside fool you, the place is legit. Haven't missed a taco Tuesday since I moved to the area. Cant beat the ACP if you're trying to keep it simple, with full menu with something for everyone. Staff is always super friendly, and I get my food 10 minutes after I order every time. I'm not trying to be an ass, but I don't think those who have previously reviewed this restaurant have ever actually had Mexican food... That or their reviews are poorly written satires? Or they work for the company? Or we ate at COMPLETELY different places with the same name, address and tacky paint? Because those reviews don't reflect anything remotely resembling what I've been served at Las Palmas. We went to Las Palmas when we first moved to the area 3+ years ago and although it was not the worst Mexican food we've been subjected to (I'm looking at you, Mi Casita), it wasn't good. The servers were nice, but almost everything tasted like it came from a can. We never thought to go back. Fast forward three years... we found ourselves in a bind for dinner after working all day on a kitchen remodel and needing something close by to shovel in our mouths before passing out from exhaustion, so we stopped by Las Palmas again. The food had not improved. Even starving and exhausted we couldn't enjoy it! We will not be returning unless we were, for whatever reason, being forced by threat of death or injury to choose between Las Palmas and the aforementioned competitor. At least they're a better option than that place. But not by much. read more

Poor quality restaurant, you couldn't smell the food when you walked in just cleaning supplies but yet still managed to look dirty. The salsa was bland, picante taste better than this watery tomato paste. Not very sanitary, the chips were in the basket without parchment paper to cover the basket. When our food came out there was no smell. The fajitas we're somewhat enjoyable to eat, sadly the chicken looked like a cat had gone into it and took all the big pieces. Looked like scraps, guacamole tasted like they mashed an avocado and added only lime. Very disappointed. I don't know how this restaurant gets consistent good ratings. We have been here twice and both times were forgettable. We thought maybe the first time was a one out and decided to give it a second chance there will not ever be a third. The chips were nasty and appeared to be either have been sitting there for a while or burnt. The taco bar barely had anything on it. Meat was bland and tasteless. I will drive hours for good food and I am so happy to have found this restaurant. Being raised in California, I had yet to find a good taco place in North Carolina (and I tried all the way to Raleigh and Charlotte), til I came across Las Palmas. This is as authentic as it gets! Staff is so friendly and the food will have you coming for more. I would recommend the Big Burrito and the tortas but I always get some tacos on the side. Carnitas are my favorite, but if you like cabeza and tripas, this place rivals the restaurants in California. I have tried the mole, enchiladas, aguas frescas, deep fried ice cream... I like it all so far. Prices are affordable for the good portions! The tacos are decent size too, not those tiny tortillas they have at other places. read more

My wife I flew down from Alaska to see our son at Fort Bragg, and since he lives in Raeford, NC, we chose to dine at Las Palmas Mexican Grill. Raeford is a tiny community just outside of Fayetteville, and Las Palmas was the only restaurant in town which could boast of a couple of high ratings on Yelp, and now we know why. The restaurant is small and humble on the outside, but the menu is large, with a respectably-sized vegetarian section. I had the "vegetariana super quesadilla", with medium-cut vegetables which were obviously carefully prepared and definitely NOT greasy. My wife, who is not a vegetarian, had the REALLY big California burrito. We had the delightful guacamole salad, and we were all happy campers. The little touches did not go unnoticed: a perfectly clean table, polite and attentive service, two lemon slices on the edge of the water glass, two lime slices on the edge of the beer mug, and more chips and salsa without asking. Just darn right awesome. We could walk here from our house if we want to. it makes it that much better to have something that close and the food is that good too. Amazing prices, amazing authentic food. Very friendly staff and just a casual place. We have ordered their las palmas especial- shrimp, carne asada, rice, beans, avocado and comes with choice of tortillas. Last time I ordered just the carne asada and was very good. Their Ceviche is heavenly and full of fresh lime. I just cant get over how awesomely good this place is! WORST PLACE EVER. Ordered ceviche, tacos, meatball soup, and enchiladas to go. Was told 25 mins. At 35 mins I asked how much longer. "Waitress" said a few more mins without checking anything. At 45 mins, I asked how much longer. With an attitude the little b$$%& told me "I already told you it'll be longer. You ordered special stuff"? Tacos are special? Left with no food and not paying.
