Biopsy was done on a lesion on my back. A stitch was put in - unusual as I have had biopsies before and usually they are minimally invasive. The dressing was insufficient and stained my business shirt with blood! But the big shock (no pun intended) was the twenty minute IPL treatment. $350!!! Total bill was over $550 - previous visits were less that $180 after rebate (which I am pretty sure they processed at reception). No facilities for automatic rebate and the receptionist only had very vague idea of how much it would be and basically was not concerned. I had the feeling that I was irritating her by asking. So, on top of the $500 plus, I now have to chase up with Medicare at my own expense and time. Previously I was very happy with Skin Lab and thought their main concern was health. Not sure what happened but they seem more concerned with revenue now. Wont be back - maybe Thailand next time? Certainly not here - over priced and under professional.

Unacceptable. This company will not process any refund, even for medical reasons…read more Sending back items to Amazon? No problem. Returning items to H&M? No problem. Cancelling an appointment at the dentist? No problem But getting a refund in this 'clinic'. This will never happen. I had a serious skin reaction after the laser treatment, which could have led to permanent scarring. The staff refused to refund the remaining sessions, and even tried to guilt-trip me saying I did not use correctly their OPTIONAL $50 after care treatment. The 'post laser gel' is just a solution of menthol and Aloe vera btw, you can get the same at Chemist Warehouse for $4. So that's $714 down the drain for me and a trip to the GP. Yet another greedy company that will write anything they can in their ToC so you never see your money again.

Once a month you will see me wandering down Vernon Terrace to their little salon. Walking in is like transporting yourself to a beautiful oasis. There is lots of comfortable seating and while you wait you will be surrounded by a wide variety of products and samples to play with. You can sip on the kettle of herbal tea being gently warmed by a tealight candle or just soak up the relaxing, soothing music and essential oil blends permeating the air. My therapist, Beth is a skilled woman! She takes care of all of my waxing requirements and is down to earth and professional. Wax is always fresh and it takes just 20 minutes for her to do a full brazilian! I also see Kaitlin every few months for my anti-wrinkle needs. A qualified injectible practitioner, Kaitlin is very knowledgeable and skilled at what she does. I've been to countless salons and she honestly gives me the best results out of any of them. Her treatments are painless and effective and I am left with minimal recovery time. I have also had a spray tan (my first ever!) administered by Charlotte, the salon manager.
