She got an obscene amount of glue in my eyes (which burns!) and left huge globs of glue on my lashes. I texted her after paying $240 (I shouldn't have tipped) and asked if it was normal for the lashes to start falling out after a day and she responded at first but when I asked if I could pay her to remove them she stopped responding. I reached out one more time to ask if she recommended anywhere I could go to get them removed and she never responded. The silver lining is this led me down a rabbit hole of research and I ended up finding Aesthetics Montecito (Mariah is the best!) and now have a reliable place to go when I want my lashes done correctly. I get compliments on my lashes all the time now and Mariah has never once ignored my texts or gotten glue in my eye. Anyway if you're thinking of getting your lashes done in the Santa Barbara area I highly advise against going to Blink Aesthetics.

I asked for an acrylic set for my toes and a pedicure, a service I routinely enjoy and am fully aware of the cost for. Upon arrival, I was met with rudeness and questioned about my choice of service, with the nail technician repeatedly asking if I was "sure" because it was "a lot of money." This was incredibly off-putting and made me feel judged, as if they assumed I couldn't afford a service I genuinely enjoy and habitually get. It wasn't until I was on the phone with my boyfriend, expressing my frustration about being treated as though I couldn't pay, that their attitude subtly shifted. The pedicure felt rushed, and despite my interest in adding on premium services, none were offered. I wanted to treat myself to more, but the initial unwelcoming vibe and the speed of the service made me feel like an inconvenience. While I can genuinely say the actual nail work was well done, the overall experience was severely overshadowed by the poor customer service and unprofessional treatment. It's a shame, because I would have been a returning client and would have gladly spent more on additional services if I had felt welcomed and respected. Given the unfortunate political affiliations displayed in the salon, combined with the poor treatment, I definitely will not be returning. There are plenty of other salons where customers are treated with dignity regardless of their chosen services or perceived spending limit.
