I've been coming here for years, about once a month for a mani/pedi, and it's consistently a great experience. My gel manicures typically last at least two weeks if not longer. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and they go the extra mile to make you comfortable -- offering coffee, water, or even a glass of wine while you relax. They recently upgraded to brand-new pedicure massage chairs, which are amazing, and it seems like they're constantly making improvements around the salon to keep things fresh and inviting. The worst service I've ever had! I don't make bad reviews, but I went out of my way to share the story for future guests. I went for a pedicure manicure: The manicure was overcharged $10 than was written on the menu. I told the manicurist one nail was not attached, should we put superglue? She said no, it's fine. The woman doing my pedicure for some reason scraped underneath my toenail and wiped it on my tarsals, the top of my foot. Originally I just laughed and said shouldn't you just wipe that on the towel, why do you wipe it on my foot? She proceeded to give me attitude and dirty looks the rest of the time. At one point, she used the sander to scrape the polish off my skin, which I asked her to stop. Today, I come in to get my nail fixed because as I predicted, it broke off. The woman who did that previous pedicure gave me two dirty looks while I was sitting getting my finger fixed. Baffled by this, I just ignored it. As for the woman who fixed my fingernail, right as she finished, tells me OK leave and waves her hands to shoo me away. I told the owner there's oil on my hand and I need to wash it or am I to wipe this on the towel? He shows me the sink. I told him how she told me to leave. He said she's waiting for her next customer. I said, well why would she talk to me like that? Then he says this is my place. If you don't like it, you can leave. if you don't like our service, you won't like anywhere. We are the best service yeah...doubtful! He didn't acknowledging my concern, instead proceeding to insult me by telling me, I'm the problem. Surprised by this, I calmly said I will definitely not come back and walked out. I work in hospitality so my gauge on customer service is quite accurate. I don't know what is going on in this place, but that was just very bizarre. I would not recommend, plain and simple. I've been getting my nails done for years and never has anything like this happenes to me. For it to happen twice at the same place, it gives me the understanding of how the owner allows his workers and how he treats the guest. I will never come back! read more

Went here to get an acrylic set as a walk in and was seated right away with Wendy. She looked at my inspiration photo and did a great job! She checked in to make sure I liked the length, shape, and color multiple times along the way and they're great! There were some little crusty pieces of acrylic underneath the nail extensions that I had to pick off afterwards but it was no worry and I'll definitely be coming back! They are usually very busy, and not all of the nail techs are equally experienced, so the quality can vary depending on who you see. I go to Emily and she does a great job and is very fast, which I really appreciate. I have not been super happy with the pedicures, so I usually only get them occasionally or do them at home instead. This used to be my favorite spot for the last four years but not after my most recent experience, and I will not be returning again. First, the price that they told me for the builder gel manicure on the phone was diffent than the price they told me in person ($10 more expensive when I got there, $80 for the whole thing. ). Then, I asked for builder gel and I tried to show her what I wanted but she started doing just regular gel. When she finally figured out what I wanted she rolled her eyes and rushed through the entire manicure. Sure enough, my gel nails have now chipped less than a week later. My last builder gel manicure lasted me 2.5 months (from a different salon in Washington). Super unfortunate. I have come here for my manicures for the last 4 years and now need to find a new go-to nail salon in the area. :/ read more

TL;DR Walk in pedicure: poor service, weird disjointed bone massage, chipped polish,$70.50 including $10 tip. I walked-in for a pedicure yesterday around 4pm. No one asked my name or attempted to address me by it. The guy pointed at me and waved me into a chair without even making eye contact with me. I was not offered the glass of wine or champagne that is promised. I chose the pedicure option with the paraffin wax. It was $60. Tiffany seemed angry about my selection. She was globbing on lotions and massaging my bones. The leg massage was a shin massage. She massaged my shin bones (ouch) while the wax was still on my feet. After she took the wax off of my feet, she massaged them on the tops only (again, along the bones, pretty uncomfortable) - and I'm not sure that it was for the 15 mins included in the package. I was just sitting there in awe of how weird the experience was. Then, when it came time to paint the nail, Tiffany made a mistake that would have required her to repaint. Only, she didn't. She cut out the mistake with clippers and painted over it. So now my nail polish is chipped. It seemed like they thought I have never gotten a pedicure before and they took advantage of me. I didn't say anything because it was really awful. I didn't know what they would do if I said anything, they already had been treating me pretty poorly. I was just waiting for the experience to be over. I politely sat through the weird experience, tipped, left, and will never be back again. This place is extremely unprofessional. Three weeks ago, I had an appointment for a new set and a mani-pedi. I arrived early, waited a few minutes, and then was seated for the pedicure. After my feet were soaking, the owner moved me to a different station. The new technician filled the basin with boiling hot water and told me to put my feet in. I pulled them out immediately because it was too hot, and she reluctantly added a bit of cold water while roughly handling my feet. Even then, the water was still too hot. When I refused to put my feet back in, she started aggressively trimming and filing my nails. By this point, my feet hurt from the water and her rough handling. She then asked me to try the water again, which was even hotter, and she laughed about it. I had had enough, so I got up and waited for Emily to do my nail set instead. Emily did a fantastic job I tipped her $20, and I paid and left. Today, I returned for a color change and fill with Emily. As she started working, the owner stepped in and told her to stop, then assigned the same woman who had previously burned my feet to finish my nails. Needless to say, I won't be coming back to this place. It's a shame because Emily is the only good nail tech there. I have now received calls and messages saying I will get bad karma for posting my experience with this salon. When in reality the karma should be on them for treating clients poorly. 4 days later and still receiving harassment from this salon. Now they are calling me white trash and non stop messages. Jokes on them I am Puerto Rican. Next step is lawsuit. read more

I got the deluxe pedicure and the hot towel wrap was forgotten. I didn't realize it until my pedicure was done and I saw that the girl next to me was getting it done. However, Tina did a great job taking care of my feet which really needed the TLC. My gel pedicure looks great and she shaped my nails well too. I am usually almost always hesitant going to new nail salons. The cute girl that checks everyone in was super nice, I wish I got her name. She looked at my nails and knew what color it was, Hazelnut. I love my nails! Graven did a great job. This place is one of the nicest and cleanest nail salons, moderately priced but it cost me $126 (including tip) for a mani and pedi for myself, a pedi for my husband and nail polish only for my 8 year old daughter. They are NOT cheap, but I enjoyed my time here. Graven made it entertaining, he was nice yet funny and sarcastic. He's amazing and deserves to be applauded. Andy (Hahn) did such a phenomenal job on my powder dip nails. This was just a polish but he took the time to give me a mini manicure as well. He also made sure there was a clear sealant on them to prevent chipping. I have never had a job done this well and I know he did them to last a while. This nail salon is really friendly and has a fun vibe, but is not particularly professional, skilled, nor relaxing. I have visited the salon twice, and had a mediocre experience both times. The first time I visited this establishment, I felt that I was reprimanded multiple times for keeping my nails too short, which I actually still felt was kind of fun because it was like talking to an aunty, and let's face it. She was right that my nails were too short. But while doing the nails, my technician was really distracted to talking to the other workers, and missed putting the top coat on one of the nails. I pointed it out and she corrected it though, and the nails did look okay even though the jewels I asked for it fell off within 4 days. I also noticed that the nails were not painted all the way to the cuticles, and therefore already looked very grown out after just a couple of days. There were so many people working here though, that I returned to try the place again. Also I liked that the front staff and manager were all very friendly, offering water and wine to all the customers. The second try, however, was also disappointing. My dip nails were not done very well, with the painting finishing unevenly, and with my cuticles raw. I tried my best to capture it with photos; the dip actually is thicker around the cuticles and is finished with ragged edges. I feel like the lady tried though, so I also did not raise it as a concern. Also the mail technicians had what sounded like a mini argument while discussing what I could get done as dip nail, so I felt uncomfortable asking for a correction. I do have to say that the manager also asked me if everything was okay and I chose not to say anything. Overall I felt this was just a matter of skill that cannot be easily corrected, and also I was afraid of offending the person who already made my cuticles bleed so I just left. I probably will not try this salon again, but I did see that there were many other technicians who seemed to be doing a really good job, and seemed really friendly and professional. read more

I'll start by saying that I already have a favorite local salon that I go to regularly for my everyday nail services because of the reasonable prices. I decided to look for a new place because I had a special event coming up and wanted a very specific and complicated glitter design, and knew my regular place probably wouldn't have the ability to do it. I was interested in Polished because of its beautiful designs I saw in other photos on Yelp. I also had a 10% off coupon that came in the mail. The facility itself is clean and gorgeous in a brand new shopping center with plenty of parking. It's also nearby my home in Goleta which makes it very convenient for me. I called to make a same-day appointment for dip powder nails and was accommodated. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted and seated right away. I showed the tech pictures from Instagram and explained my vague design idea, and they realized that I would need acrylic, not dip powder, and the person that would best execute the design (Emily) was working on another client. I ended up waiting about 45 minutes for her to be done but in the meantime, they showed me different glitters and materials to help me conceptualize and solidify my design idea. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind waiting. They explained ahead of time that the service+design I wanted would cost $70. They offered me a choice of complimentary wine or coffee which was a plus for sure. Emily, the nail tech that ended up working on my design took her time to delicately file down my acrylics, fill them, and reshape my nails to my favorite coffin style. She then applied a gel polish color and then began the design. They found holo powder and a nice glitter to complete the design. The owner was very accommodating throughout the process to ensure his clients were satisfied. I'm really happy with how my nails have lasted. They lasted about 4 weeks with no cracks or chips before the gel started peeling. My only concern was how pricy the service was even after applying the 10% off coupon, but it was reasonable considering the complicated nature of the design. I typically like to spend between $30-40 on my nails so $70 is definitely not an everyday thing, but I was willing to spend for a special occasion. I'd recommend Polished and specifically Emily because of the amazing customer service to anyone who has a design idea and wants someone to help bring it to life! read more
