Last Chance Saloon

Enjoyed a Devils Row coffee lager and a brisket sandwich. Holy delicious. The gravy was so good I could have drank it. 100% worth the fun drive over 11 bridges. Tummy is happy as heck. Feels like a homey old school tavern. Sat on the patio and they are wonderfully dog friendly, they even have a "dog menu"! Check it out!

It's funny because years ago I stayed at the Rosedeer Hotel, right next to the Last Chance Saloon in Wayne, but I never went into the Saloon. I remember hearing some live music, but my friends (whom I was traveling with) thought the saloon looked too scary to go inside. On my last visit to Drumheller I decided to go to Wayne and check out the Last Chance Saloon for myself. Honestly, the name Last Chance Saloon might make it seem like you could walk into the middle of a wild west shootout, but anything could be further from the truth. Maybe back in the day this was the case, but today this is just a fun and quirky pub and restaruant. Food is pretty standard burgers and sandwiches. I had heard about a grill your own steak, but I didn't see that on the menu. Instead I just got myself a grilled cheese sandwich, because I wasn't super hungry, but I wanted to come in and give this restaurant a try. The service here was friendly and very good. The food wasn't outstanding, but it was good. Then again I think it's pretty hard to mess up something as simple as a grilled cheese sandwich. I got a pepsi to drink...if I wasn't driving maybe I would've ordered a double whiskey or something more wild west-ish. The fun part about Last Chance Saloon is the decor, the giant shuffleboard table, the sign saying "we don't take bills larger than $2," the 1940s bandbox (get your server to play it for you...it's kind of fun). Wayne is jus a short drive from Drumheller and definitely worth a detour. Next time I'd like to come in the evening while they've got live music.

Took the family here today. Sat on the patio which had sun or shade. Drinks were cold and food was great. Had the special which was brisket tacos and beans. Was top notch. Service was polite and prompt even though place had alot of patrons. Lots of unique old fashion charm. Very unique place to grab some lunch and enjoy the old fashion charm.

Pub burgers on white buns. Basic fries. Basic beers but Ooohhhh the history of this saloon The Last Chance Saloon is the only business in Wayne and arguably the only one needed Located between bridges 9 and 10 (of 11) on the 11 bridges road, 4 miles east and 4 miles south (roughly... Forgive me, I've been drinking) of Drumheller, it's a quaint little place One you visit for the atmosphere and history, nothing else really Then it begins to grow on you and before you know it, you've had 3 sealers and things become fuzzy Rooms upstairs or camping right next door for $15 It's common to find a few bikes parked outside, so dont be alarmed. They're good people Patio out back. Bbq's galore Ask about the bullet holes in the wall

This is a really cool old fashioned restaurant that looks like it's from pioneer days. There are pelts and folksy items on the wall and the seating area is small. We went because we saw they had bison burgers but it's crossed off the menu so not sure if it's temporarily or permanently 86'ed. I got the knucklehead burger with a side salad and it was delicious! The special sauce is quite yummy. The only drawback was our waiter. She wasn't very friendly and I overheard her saying rude things to other patrons. An elderly gentleman asked what was on tap and then declined and asked for a different beer. The waitress brought him the one on tap and he said "oh no I said I didn't want that." She curtly took it away and when she came back she said "you'll just have to speak more clearly from now on, okay?" in a condescending tone. I guess good help is hard to come by in a town with 28 people. Another waitress, an older blonde lady, was really friendly and nice.

The food was really good and for a great price and the waitress was lovely. The only downside was that there was some drunk dudes yelling (mind you it was 2:30pm). Other than them, it was awesome. Would recommend this place :)

We weren't looking for anything in particular for dinner that night, but when we rounded the corner and saw the sign for Vintage's, we decided to check it out. As it transpired, it was Wednesday wing night (12 wings for $5), and there were beer bucket and frozen drink specials. We ordered a ton of wings (okay, just seventy-two wings) and two salads, and there was so much food that my FIL hardly seemed upset after it was clear the friendly server had forgotten to place the order for his egg burger. In all honesty, given the amount of food we'd ordered, it probably didn't seem fathomable that anyone in our party could take on an entire burger and fries plate on top of all the glorious wings. The place was much busier (and larger) than the exterior suggested (I think nearly everyone in Drumheller over the age of 18 was there that night) but our server didn't seem frazzled and was extremely capable despite the burger mishap. I had the Greek salad, which was so delicious (and so laden with feta) that I was able to completely forego the salad dressing (which I did try, and was tasty). I actually had to remove some of the feta layer, something I never thought I'd have to do for a salad. The wings were fantastic (a must for any establishment boasting a wing night), and came in an incredible number of flavours. Of note: our server claimed the hot flavour was ridiculously hot, but my husband and I agreed it would take a lot more heat to best our tongues and make us throw in the towel. If you want something that'll make you sweat, I suggest going for a more intense flavour. We ordered other flavours, too, but I was pleased with my hot wings and didn't try the others. We probably won't take the 'rents back, but we'll be stopping by again when we go camping in the Badlands later this summer.
