Worst pizza I've ever had. Took one bite and had them box it up for my dog. Debated about giving it to her. Do not order the pizza.

Had higher hopes for certain and there is certainly potential. However if im paying $90 for me and my 10 year old without any 18+ drinks im certainly not paying for potential. I Had a steak sandwich and French Onion Soup to start. They advertise a lots of cheese - this soup was anything but and unless you like cold soup I wouldnt order this. On the steak sandwich there was Onion rings - soft and soggy. The steak was cooked alright but the steak was hardly warm. The potatoes must have been scooped with an ice cream scoop out of the freezer and the gravy, well, it had nicely set. I wish I had a picture. If everything had been heated up for a full minute in the microwave I would have scored it a 2 star. Anyhow, if you made it this far in the review - I would just go to another steak house. The server was nice and polite and did well until it got busy which seems to me like it isn't out of the ordinary to be busy. The restaurant was nice and clean as well. Friendly service. Good sized portions. I had a salad and the panzorotti which was very good. The crusts for the pizza is light and yummy. My husband had the clam chowder and Cajun wings. Both we good. Average prices, good food and nice people read more

Good, wholesome food. It offers breakfast all day and has similar food to a place like Denny's, Montana's, Ricky's, or the Station (also in Strathmore): clubhouse, soup, salads, burgers, etc. Great portion sizes, and their fries are good. There aren't many places to eat in Strathmore (other than fast food), so this is a good one if you're looking for something inexpensive, quick, and with food anyone could eat. read more

Absolutely fantastic burgers! It's been a while since I've tasted a good clean burger, oh and the onions! This place is a hidden gem! If you are travelling past this place on the highway, pick this place! Staff were friendly, though the only nag I have is the time it took to bring the meal out was a bit long for this side of the world (25mins for a Burger and Fries meal). So happy we decided to eat here! I had the fish and chips, my sister had the steak sandwich and my mom had a salad with every topping you can imagine! All of the meals were huge portions and so so delicious. My only complaint was the service as soon as we sat down in the lounge. The First lady that came to our table must not have been having a good day or something. She didn't even greet us. She just instantly said 'ID's' and pointed at my sister and I. No hello, smile, nothing! We were like, ohhh great this isn't going to be enjoyable at all. But then!!! A new lady took over and was super sweet and friendly. Very pleased with her service but the first impression was still kind of disappointing. The rest of the evening the two servers in our area really helped each other out and created a wonderful experience. I will be back! But if I get the same server as we first did last time, I'll be moving sections. read more

Not impressed. Food was less then sub par and service was slow! Prices are not on point with the quality of food served. $45 for a bowl of cold clam chowder, dried out beef dip with a GREASY "au jus", 2 drinks and a 15% gratuity, that would have been so bad if the service was better and the food was good. read more

We had a custom calzone and the wrangler special. Both were tasty and serving potions were huge! They had a buffet, which we didn't have but there was a chocolate fountain, huge dessert table, sushi, pizzas and lots more. Well worth it! I'm coming back! read more

I use to live in Strathmore and moved away in 2010. The RH was my fave restaurant in town. The food was always great, the old look was cool. I am back in town a doz times a yr or so, and still stop in on occasion. For the past cpl of years I have been very disappointed with the food. The quality is not up to par, food is over priced especially for the quality. During covid I have been in there at least 6-8 times, patio and indoor dining - several of the staff do not wear face masks, one in particular does not only Not wear a mask but does Not respect the 6 ft distance, at all. Today the meals took much longer to serve us as they overcooked the first attempt at chicken strips, our gravy was Barely warm, the fries were the same. I asked for an ice tea with no lemon and a straw - I got a lemon and No straw. Simple tasks, but clearly the maskless server did not listen. The battered fish was Very greasy ( I have had it in the past, this was the worst) I literally wrapped each piece in napkins to absorb the grease - it was that greasy. When I asked for a straw she returned with an unwrapped one, in her bare hand - gross. I work hard for my money and expect simple tasks and meals to be up to par especially on over priced meals. I still tipped the server - that wore a mask, and served us most of our visit. Today was our last meal at the RH. read more

Great food. Homemade burger dishes are excellent. Their specials are great. A lot to choose from on their menu. If you're an average eater one meal could be shared by two people as the portions are very large. Prices are decent. We recommend this place for a warm and friendly ambiance and great food from a down home restaurant. read more

This place has been recommended to us by many long term locals. We've tried it several times since our move to Strathmore last summer (2013). It's AWFUL! The food is between mediocre and poor. Mostly Costco frozen stuff cooked in their kitchen. The service is atrocious... incredibly slow and selective. The servers are mostly pleasant but the owner/manager\boss needs big work. Example: tonight it took us over 1&1\2 hours to have an appetizer combo platter which was all obviously Costco stuff. Had to ask where our dinner was twice and flag down a server for more water, serviettes, our bill and the debit machine. The couple across from us, who arrived after us, apparently passing through from Toronto, were served a nice looking pizza before our APPETIZER plate. They also rated 3 THREE visits from the manager\owner woman while we weren't worthy of even a nod or acknowledgement. I'm all for welcoming visitors but if you don't get that locals ARE your business, you don't deserve mine. This is not the first time we have encountered this at the Roadhouse. Don't bother going here. read more

Great atmosphere, food and always friendly service. Their Sunday buffet is incredible!!! Only thing keeping them from 5 stars would be their higher than expected prices. Although the quantities are very large, I think a lower price and bit smaller plate would be better for families on a budget. read more

First time to The Roadhouse and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is very nice and we were greeted promptly and drink order was taken. Menu is exstensive -maybe too much but in a smaller community a larger selection is necessary. Ordered the smokehouse burger with rings. Decent burger for sure, but the fries that came with the other burger ordered to the table looked like they were days old. Steaks that arrive for companions looked good and apparently tasted good and were cooked as ordered. Salmon was nice and seafood caeser was decent - side size ordered. Wine selection is good but Chianti tasted like it had been open too long. Server had a bit of trouble figuring out multiple tabs for group of 8. Meals came out separately by bill. Work on that and service would be considered very good! Would recommend with the caveat that consistency in service and food may be hit or miss. Definitely worth a try! read more

Like the decor and service was friendly and good. Food was average nothing signature or special but good overall. Portions are large and filling. Presentation on two of our plates was a bit sloppy. Wings are 10 for $3.50 after 4pm so that is good. From the bar Ceasars are tasty. From interior and web page I expected a step better than a a typical place like BP'S but it was about the same. We love the Roadhouse for lunch when they get our order right :) (Ordered a seafood melt and was brought the seafood salad... not a huge deal but was looking forward to the hot sandwich not the cold salad and at lunch didn't have time for them to correct it). Wings in the lounge are usually super fast and always cheap after 4pm. When we have kids with us the restaurant side also offers the wing deal. Kids burger is absolutely massive (same size as adult burger). read more
