This is a long review but we encourage you to read it. Overall, our "Lasting Impression" is that the company was unprofessional and did not deliver what we paid for. JP, the President, was incredibly rude and awful to work with. We rented a large tent (40'x120'), dance floor, chairs, tables, glassware, etc for our 200 person backyard wedding. They created a digital layout for us, showing exactly where the tent poles would land and where our dance floor and tables would be. They also visited the event site twice to make sure the tent would fit there. JP visited the site himself and told us it would work. A crew delivered and set up the tent. They left large holes in the yard which we had to repair to avoid injury to our guests. They also mistakenly put an extra anchor in the yard which we had to ask them to remove. Many of the poles were crooked and the tent had visible stains. When the crew came to install the dance floor, we were told they couldn't install it as previously diagrammed by Lasting Impressions and as agreed to/contracted/and paid for by us. The floor installer commented on how crooked the tent installation was and couldn't seem to figure out how to install the dance floor with the tent poles in place. My father had to spend several hours working with the floor installer, loaned him a tape measure (since he barely had any tools) and helped him figure out how to get most of the flooring installed. In the diagram, the tent poles were shown to go on top of the dance floor. However, when they showed up to install it, they told us that the pole would have to go on grass instead. So, we had a dance floor with a hole in the center, another trip hazard for our guests and not what we had agreed to or wanted. In addition, due to the pole placement, we had to forgo an entire row of our dance floor, which we had already paid for. As for pick up after the wedding, there was no communication. We were originally told Monday or Tuesday, and that they would follow up with an exact time. We emailed and called JP to see when everything was going to be picked up, but never got a response. Instead the truck showed up in our driveway in the afternoon. Thankfully we were home to receive them. Afterwards, we reached out to JP to ask for a refund for the dance floor that his team did not put down for us. Not only did he refuse to refund us, he accused us of making his team wait for us to remove lighting from the tent (they were not delayed) and he didn't even apologize for their error. After a mistake that big, that's the very least he could do. Additionally, when trying to rent everything for the wedding, JP would send us quotes with items missing and inconsistent prices. In the few weeks leading up, we had to follow up with him several times to make sure that we did, in fact, have everything reserved. We had never received a final agreement or notice for final payment so we reached out to them. JP blamed us, claiming he had asked us for the signed estimate many times but never received it. We forwarded him the email where we had sent the signed estimate several weeks earlier, but he never acknowledged it. When JP eventually sent the final agreement, the prices had been raised from the original quote. We asked about it and were told that we were supposed to be charged for an extra delivery charge, so really we were still saving money.  The final agreement was also missing several items from the original quote, including the propane oven that was going to be used to cook our guests' food. If we had not double and triple checked everything, it could have been a disaster. Lasting Impressions was disorganized, hostile, and made promises they couldn't keep. They put their customers in an impossible position because it's too late to make changes or hire anyone else. The bottom line is - don't trust Lasting Impressions with your event, especially something as important as a wedding. read more

These are the guys who make me look great at what I do. Party time! Let's see, I'm thinking this will be a *small* gathering sooo... I'll just need a few dozen tablecloths, table skirts, matching napkins, oh how about a dance floor?, a 12' projector screen, 30' of staging, a stool for the cameraman, and.... an ice scupture? Well, sure, why the hell not. It is a party! In my days as an event planner, the above would have been a pretty standard order from me for any gig I was running in the 614. In my more recent role as coordinator of every major celebration in my friends' lives, that list is only slightly modified (more cowbell, less staging). By now, I've put together a lot of gatherings in a lot of cities, and I am yet to find anyone else who could ever compete with Lasting Impressions on price, service, or quality. Graduation party... I'm calling Lasting Impressions for tables. Corporate conference.... Who else rents pipe & drape? Wedding shower... Yeah, we want fancy. Lasting Impressions! If you can't find what you want on their site, just call and they'll probably surprise you by having it in three different color options and half the price of anyplace else. They deliver, they set up, and if you ask them, they'll even come tear down the whole mess for you so you are able to do what no event planner ever does: Enjoy the party. They have the largest selection and generally the best pricing in Central Ohio. LI stays on top of industry trends and constantly adds new products to their inventory. They will even purchase new items or create custom table linens, lounge furniture and tableware for you. Andria and Jody have decades of event experience and can assist the novice or the master planner with their rental needs. Event rental can be a very crazy, frenetic business and sometimes the staff feels rushed but rest assured that they are hustling to give their clients the support they need to produce successful events. read more

They helped us out at the last minute when things didn't work out with another vendor and provided chairs, linens, dishes and all sorts of other items for 70 people and at a very reasonable cost. Very impressed at first. I called and spent about 30 to 40 minutes on the phone letting them know everything about my graduation party. They took all of my information including the date of the party! This was on a Saturday. I was told they would send me a quote on Monday. After not received the quote that week i followed up at the end of the week and i was told that they did not have any availability left for my date of the party! At no time did they tell me this on the phone in fact i even asked if the date was available before i went through the entire process of telling them what i needed. Totally not impressed!!! The only reason they get 1 star is because they gave me a phone number to another company! read more

Leading up to the event the company was helpful and responsive. Great. Then, every event planners worst nightmare, they showed up 1 hour late for set up. 1 full hour of not being able to get a hold of anyone and pure OMG what are we going to do if they don't show?!?!?!? On a 1.5 hour total timeline for setup, that is an eternity. It caused so much stress and was the first domino that caused multiple others to drop. There was no volunteer check-in, no volunteer breakfast, and our MC started over 30 minutes late, which required us to cut out part of our programming. It was the worst way to start a 5k event when you are hosting 1500 participants, 80 volunteers and literally have a 3 hour window to show your participants a great time. Adding insult to injury, the sales and service staff denied our timelines when we provided feedback post event, even though we had time-stamped calls from their "after-hours response team". Finally, we spoke with the owner who investigated our issues and confirmed that the setup team WAS 1 hour late to arrive, but even then, his excuse was that it was a morning event on a Sunday and using the words of owner, JP Fritz himself, "If I am being honest, my guys don't want to wake up at 5 am on a Sunday, and good luck finding a company that you don't have the same problems with". Well, Mr. Fritz, if that is the case, perhaps you should not make a commitment to a company on a service you cannot deliver, not to mention charge them a premium for delivery and labor. Nearly $5,000 in rentals for a 4 hour event and that is the service and the response you will get from this company. Even after the owner admitted that they "failed" to hold up their end of the agreement, he said "I think a $300 discount is reasonable for the trouble". Really, do you? Absolutely not the kind of service I would expect from a company based in the service industry. On a brighter note, unsolicited by me, both my event MC and race timing company recommended another rental company, ACC Party Rental. I'll bet they have people who are willing to do a couple hours worth of work on a Sunday morning for $5,000. read more

For years I've seen the purple trucks of Lasting Impressions downtown setting up for events. I never thought I would need a rental company but I was wrong. I give LI 5 stars because I literally called them for 40 folding chairs on Friday morning and literally picked them up 2 hours later. I need the chairs desperately for a meeting on Saturday and upon pick up they gave us 10 extra chairs for free. SCOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRE. If we ever need to rent furniture again I will definitely call them. read more

We needed to rent chairs for our ceremony outdoors at the Shelterhouse at Goodale Park. I found 3 different chair rental companies and one wouldn't come to parks and the second one was more expensive. So I went with Lasting Impressions. Overall my experience with them wasn't what I had hoped for. When I called to place my order for the chairs they sent me my contract and charged me for my deposit. I sent them back the signed contract and didn't receive a confirmation from them until I asked them if they had received it a week later. About two weeks before our wedding I confirmed the number of chairs needed- it was less than the original amount and they credited me the difference. There wasn't clear communication when the final deposit was needed- it wasn't in the contract but I was able to take care of that before our wedding. We had our reservation at the park from 9:30 - 11:30 am and our ceremony was at 10:30 am. I told them the chairs had to be set up in time for our ceremony. At 9:45 am my friends who I asked to supervise the chair set up called Lasting Impressions to see if they were on their way. They called the emergency line on the contract and no one answered, luckily someone picked up on the main line. They arrived with the chairs about a half hour later and we had guests waiting to sit down. Our ceremony went fine and we had enough chairs but I was disappointed to hear about this after our wedding. After returning from our honeymoon I called and asked to speak to a manager and explained my experience. She called the delivery manager and couldn't confirm any details of that day and gave us a credit for the trouble we experienced. I was happy to have received a credit because the rental wasn't cheap and I would recommend giving them a definitive time for when you need your rentals set up. read more
