A follow up was scheduled in 3 weeks and it went well with me showing signs of improvement. She had me go to LabCorp for a liver test. She refilled the meds she had prescribed and scheduled a follow up in 4 weeks. I have been very happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone. The phone wait time is a problem I can deal with.

For cosmetic services, I find it important to develop a relationship with one practitioner. Stephanie is the only person I see because she's excellent and so lovely. After calling several in the area, this one finally answered their phone (or had some availability) and we easily made an appointment. The good: this salon was well designed with careful thought and attention to detail. The space is aesthetically pleasing and the furnishing are new and in good repair. It was easy to make an appointment on a Saturday morning with less than two hours notice. My wife was very pleased with her how her curls turned out. The true test will be whether they can stay that way for the rest of the day! The bad: I almost drove right by the place when trying to find it! There is a sign out by the road but the building it's in is completely unmarked (except for the decal on their entrance). Some of the chairs had hair clippings on them! Not a deal breaker, but it's not the most difficult thing in the world to clean off (especially when there are at least two staff members in the "Employees Only" back room). The laminate flooring was a little hokie. I wouldn't have noticed it at all if I hadn't hit a few spots where it was bubbling up (the only black mark on an otherwise spotless job by the contractor here. Four out of five for a nice looking salon in a small town.

I was put on the wrong machine (i.e. the machine for people with darker skin) for my last session and I noticed we were in a different room. The laser hurt much more and I noticed the lighter red spots (last few images) right after and was afraid I was burned. I asked the estheticians if I was burned and she said no, it's normal, and it'll go away. I knew this was abnormal because it hadn't happened the sessions before. When I left I started freaking out as I was walking to my car, so I went back in, crying, and asked AGAIN if I was burned because the spots look suspicious. The esthetician, annoyed, said no. Fast forward, I was absolutely burned, BADLY. The top few photos show what it looked like a week later, and my burns, on both legs and clearly noticeable when I walked outside, made me feel like I had truly been abused here and then gaslit. I couldn't even look at it myself. These marks stayed for YEARS as I was entering college and I became extremely insecure. I saw dermatologists and many said even after it peels it may never go away. My dermatologists told me I wouldn't be able to have my legs in the sun for years. That's the price I took for Sona's mistake, on top of lots of $$ for seeing the dermatologist and creams/topicals. Of course frustrated I met with the manager at Sona and showed her what had happened. After gaslighting me saying that nothing went wrong on their part, she offered me a portion of my money back as long as I did not write a review. But when I signed the document and went back, I was completely ghosted. Each time I went in and asked to speak with the manager, I was ushered out and told she would 'call me back', but she never did. It's been 5 years and I know they know what they did and who I am, and of course they keep telling me that she will one day call me to compensate for this horrendous mistake. And it still has never happened. So here I am writing a review. I repeat, under no circumstances, DO NOT COME HERE. AT ANY COST. This is NOT a trustworthy place. You will be abused and then ghosted. I'm tempted to call the police on them honestly. This is not right.
