Loved this spot in Joplin! We stopped in here based on the Yelp reviews and we were not sorry. We were in Joplin for 5 days and this was the absolute best meal we had. All 4 of us. Our waiter was from Honduras and was happy I ordered the Honduran Tour and one of my friends ordered a Honduran beer. My meal was a ground beef pastelito, 1 cheese pupusa, 1 baleada, and a side of green bananas. My favorite was the beef pastelito but I ate every single thing on the plate. Was happy they gave us salsa in separate bowls. I also had the margarita and it was refreshing with a little kick from the tajin in place of the salt. We have decided when we are in Joplin again we will definitely head here. read more

Oh my God it was good! The Baleada Supreme for me and the Honduran tour for my wife. Check the pictures. Also go to the website and review the big menu. First time, I absolutely recommend these two meals. Comes with chips and mild salsa. Ask for the hot stuff. I am not an expert on Honduran food, but at the same time I am not a stranger to it either. I have eaten at several very authentic restaurants. I liked them, but nothing compares to the 5-star food on the plates here. The owner is very involved. Working in his small restaurant, presenting every plate to his customers with pride. Very nice guy. The restaurant is small, comfortable, likely gets crowded and will get even more crowded as the news gets out. The food was amazing. Nothing left on my plate. And a shocking statement from my wife. What an amazing find in Joplin. We were immediately greeted by the owners and given useful suggestions on what to order starting with drinks and the free salsas and chips. By the way, salsas were amazing. The food we ordered came out real fast and adults, little kids (age 7) and 16 year olds were all equally delighted with their food. Decided to expand our palate and give Honduran food a try. My wife got pupusa's and loved them. She said they had so much flavor. I got the pastelitos. I told them to mix it up, and they brought me 2 chicken one beef. The chicken was a little dry but had great flavor. the beef was really good. Next time, I'll just do all beef. Great food, nice people. A little on pricier side, can get really noisy when full and folks start drinking. I wish they were in a bigger place so the customers that want to sit at bar area or plan on drinking a lot could go to a different section. One drinking group got a little loud and had some adult conversations and folks were there for dinner with their kids. One con: they charge $10 for chips and salsa to take out! It's not even a lot of salsa. There is no way you get $10 worth of chips and salsa if you order that to go. read more

Service was very fast. The fusion dip was very flavorful and warm. Perfect with the thin house corn chips. The honduran tour was the a nice intro to honduran food. We loved all three items and the banana chips. Fish taco had a decent amount if fish in it and the sauce brought everything together nicely. Tamale was tender and appetizing. We visited this place for a super late lunch and service was great! Food was soo yummy and fresh! We tried the dip trio and it was good. Wish the bean dip had more beans but still we ate almost all of it. We then had the Tour of Honduras YUMMMYYYY. Neither of us had tried Honduran food and it was a wonderful delight! The restaurant was clean and cute. Salsas was on the warm to hot side. I loved it but some may need to wait for a drink! Can't wait till we get to come back! read more

The owner took time to come out and visit with us and ask our opinion on about certain dishes we had. You will not be sorry, if you eat here. It was so good I sat down in the middle of the floor and cried like a baby. Not the dignified, quiet sobbing you see on very rare occasions from men, I'm talking the snotty, wheezing, high pitched yelps and the violent thrashing of my arms and legs and the involuntary pissing of a child whose soul has been shattered like a glass knocked off a marble counter top onto the cold hard floor of a house that never felt like a home. Very undignified and frankly, I feel kind of bad for the people that had to watch it because even if they were laughing at me for the public meltdown they will pity me in a way that will make them sad later. I broke down knowing that I would never again experience what it felt like to taste it for the first time. In summary it's pretty damn good. A lot of what I just wrote did not happen but the service was great and the food was amazing. It's my new favorite restaurant. read more
