It was really inspiring, especially since I'm planning to take ceramic classes this year. They also offer quite a few ceramic classes and programs, which I didn't realize before visiting. The museum is open to the public Friday-Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM. The surrounding area didn't feel the safest at first, but the museum has a gated parking lot that is spacious, which made it feel more comfortable. If you're in the area and enjoy art or ceramics, it's definitely worth stopping by.

It doesn't have much exhibits but it's a great looking museum, and staff members have been friendly and helpful. You can take photos of exhibits as long as you're not using flash. For those seeking a fun walking or jogging experience, check out the "Trail" route located in the CA Plant Communities section. If you're lucky, you might see a squirrel munching on their lunch, or a turtle sunbathing while gazing at a waterfall.

Earlier that day, I had taken my wheelchair from my home into Claremont, about a mile and a half, to enjoy the bakery,The farmers market ,lunch, and the local shops. Everywhere else I went, I was treated kindly and respectfully. My service dog was calm, controlled, and remained with me in my wheelchair the entire time. When I arrived at the museum, only one of the double doors was open. Because the building has older, narrow doors, both doors needed to be opened so my wheelchair could enter. Instead of being welcomed or assisted, I was questioned at the doorway in a way that felt cold, suspicious, and humiliating. I explained that my dog is a service dog and that he assists me by alerting me when I am medically in trouble and helping me regulate my condition. I also tried to protect my medical privacy while answering the question about the service he provides. Rather than opening the second door and allowing me access, I was left outside in the heat for several minutes and then told I had not answered sufficiently. The staff member physically remained in the doorway and would not open the second door for my wheelchair. This was especially upsetting because my dog was calm, controlled, and not disruptive in any way. I was simply trying to see the exhibit like any other visitor. I understand that museums and public places may need to ask appropriate questions about service animals. What disappointed me was the tone, the delay, the lack of warmth, and the failure to make the entrance accessible for a wheelchair user. The interaction made me feel unwelcome in a place that should be open to the community. I hope the museum uses this as an opportunity to better train staff on disability access, service animal etiquette, and how to treat disabled visitors with dignity. A visitor using a wheelchair and a service dog should not have to sit outside in the heat, argue for access, or feel interrogated before being allowed to enjoy art. I wanted this to be the lovely ending to a good day in Claremont. Instead, I left feeling excluded and deeply disappointed.

My family booked this place for my pop's 80th birthday party. It's also known as The Ebell Club…read more Rental does not come with a lot of fancy bells and whistles, but it's a spacious, beautiful venue with a lot of character and has all the essentials-- chairs, tables, a large functional kitchen, a bar area, large stage for band or DJ, nice restrooms for the ladies, its own parking lot, and security (and they don't mess around). In fact, my husband thought it was overkill that security searched everyone coming in and strictly enforced dress code (no gang attire), but he's not from the area so he doesn't understand. Overall, we were very happy with this venue and so was my pops. It was totally his style. And I also have some nice little nostalgic memories of this venue from back in the day when my friends and I would get our Aqua Net and our groove on. Some may say it's little pricey for the area, but it's a historical land mark in the city of Pomona, AND you can bring in your own food (instant savings) AND your own liquor (tremendous instant savings). AND they clean up for you at the end of the event--totally awesome when you danced too much in those nonsensible shoes and just want to kick them off and go home to bed. Staff was great too--office personnel very helpful and professional. Security team also in close contact and very professional especially during encounter with one tequila faced guest . . .
