From his early years as a youth, his military years, to his career as a Senator, Vice President, then President of America, it is all here. When people talk of this man, Watergate is always in the forefront of the conversation. And what happened then was a dark time for America, but that is not the full story of President Nixon. He did so much good during his service to our country, and it is all highlighted here. Every person should visit this museum. President Nixon started the EPA, the Clean Air Act, OSHA, Title IX, he was instrumental in the woman's rights movement and brought the Vietnam war to an end. He was the first U.S. President to visit both China and the USSR in attempts to bridge relations with these countries. And these are only a few of his accomplishments which are still shaping our country and our lives today. He loved his wife Pat greatly, and their relationship is one of the best parts of this tour. But what's more, the museum is actually on the very land his family owned. The house he was born and grew up in is still here on the property and the docents will take you on a guided tour thru it. Both his wife and he are laid to rest here too. Quite a place.

The grounds are well maintained and was the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding, greatly assisted by SoCal weather. Parking is in front near the entrance, weekdays it's $4 /hr but free on the weekends. Admission is just a $5 suggested donation to support the arboretum. I arrived within the first half hour after opening to try and beat the heat. Even though it was still warm, there were plenty of shaded areas to stay cool along with benches that were great for relaxing. There was also a breeze so that helped. Thought about spending an hour there but glad I paid for two hours of parking because I ended up staying for 1 & 1/2 hours. One of my favorite moments were simply sitting on a bench listening to all the birds. Hopefully you can hear them on the video. This is a peaceful place to unwind and definitely encourage you to visit.

I came on a really hot day, so I only saw about half of the place, but it was such a nice time by the ponds, creeks, and little lake. Beautiful wildlife to admire, too -- turtles, ducks, fish, and tons of dragonflies and other lovely creatures peacefully about. We spent a lot of time admiring a group of docile ducks and enjoying the shade by the water. They also have an online plant shop for those interested in gardening (with a great ongoing deal). Planning on purchasing from there and picking up so I have an excuse to stop by again. Loved my time here. Expect to enjoy yours too!

I went to the La Habra Children's Museum with my two sisters and my nephew, and we had such an…read moreamazing time! I took so many pictures because there were so many cute and fun moments. The dinosaur by the entrance was one of our favorites--my nephew loved it so much and was excited the whole time. One of the best parts was the stage and dress-up theater section. It was so engaging for the kids! They got to play, pretend, and really use their imagination. It was fun watching them interact, perform, and just be themselves. I also liked how social it was for children. Kids were playing together, sharing, and exploring as a group, which made the experience even better. It's not just fun, but also a great place for kids to build confidence and connect with others. Overall, such a fun and memorable day. Definitely a great spot for families with kids! Side not get camera ready! I took so many photos I only posted what I could for privacy reasons but such memorable experience!

My only concern wasn't the museum itself--it was the behavior of some parents. During our visit, we had several encounters where parents allowed their children to take toys that my kids were actively playing with. In one instance, a parent even encouraged their child to take an item my child was using instead of redirecting them or teaching them to wait their turn. That made the experience less enjoyable. The most uncomfortable part of our visit happened in the arts and crafts area. A man who was there with his family repeatedly stared at my sister, our children, and me in a way that felt unwelcome. We also observed him taking apart other children's art projects so his own children could use the materials. While my sister and I were cleaning up our table, his behavior became increasingly unsettling. At one point, a pair of scissors landed on our table where our children were sitting after he tossed them in that direction. He also walked past us several times, continued staring, and kicked a chair as he passed. I want to be clear that none of these concerns reflect the museum itself. The staff and exhibits were great, and I would still recommend the museum to families. I just hope parents remember that shared spaces work best when everyone models kindness, respect, and consideration for others so all children can have a positive experience.

Right now building one, there is an incredible art exhibit on the history of skateboarding in Anaheim. It's awesome. I took so many photos lol. I used to skateboard when I was a kid. Loved every second of this exhibit. The second building houses so very cool artifacts from the 1800s to the 1900s reflecting the history of Anaheim. It was cool to go back in time to see the history of a place I called home. I saw the history of Anaheim vineyards and Valencia oranges, I saw a lot of information on the ranchos in Anaheim. The Anaheim street names are all named after very important ranchers and farmers in Anaheim. For example I saw the name of a rancher Don Bernardo Yorba who created the greatest rancho of California's Golden Age. No wonder we have cities like Yorba Linda and streets with name Bernardo. Fascinating stuff. Also, there was a video recalling the bicentennial which was July 4, 1976. It was a big deal. There were other artifacts like photographs and a typewriter, luggage and military uniforms. So much history packed in that museum. If you love to visit museums, Muzeo is one that you must visit. They provide validated parking in lots 3 and 5. If you are an Anaheim resident, the cost is only $8. Regular admission is $10. There are discounts for seniors, students and children.

After living in this community for so many years, I was finally able to tour the Bradford House…read more What a beautiful building it is on the exterior and what a phenomenal job the Foundation has done, preserving its interior. Parking was easiest, behind the strip mall, located on Bradford and Yorba Linda Boulevard. There's a small cul de sac, with no outlet, to turn onto and park. The grass has seen better days, I'm sure, but with the CA drought history, it's to be expected. The home recently had a paint enhancement, thanks to the city's Love Placentia event held annually. It looks great. There are plaques surrounding the grounds that give you an idea on whom the Bradfords were and how vast their property extended. The landscaping adjacent to the home is real nice. I attended a spring tour, for the price of $10. Volunteers with the Foundation helped explain the history and pieces of each room, although you could roam on your own if need be. Some of the original pieces were so fascinating, including the chandelier, Italian master bedroom set, spinner, and such. The house also offers tours to elementary school students and even rents "apartments" (bedrooms inside the home), for $1,000. If you live in Placentia, make a point to visit and learn more. If not, plan ahead and see when tours are available to the public.

The length of the tour was well worth the money, I also know that some stories are passed down through history or just lore. We enjoyed our experience and how everyone got into character/dressed as the era. My next goal is to do the Disney mansion tour. See you soon
