The best Mexican food in Cambridge and the KW region! One of my favourite spots to eat, Latinoamerica Unida has tasty and filling meals and amazing service, always. This local spot serves up authentic food in an unassuming spot - plus some of the best Queso Birria Tacos ever!!! On this visit, we of course got the tacos, the Chimichanga, and a burrito. We couldn't have the meal without their famous horchata, which we got a pitcher of to share - yum! Definitely one of my favourite recommendations for a trip to Cambridge. read more

We were walking along Grand River and one of locals struck up a conversation. I think it was obvious we weren't from the area and he told us we should go to Latinoamerica for the birria tacos. Needless to say we were extremely lucky to have met this guy. We tried it out and we were blown away by the food. We ordered the Quesabirria tacos, fish tacos, nachos with guacamole and the tres leche cake. I have a Mexican background, so when I want authentic food I generally find myself making it due to underwhelming attempts I have encountered in Canada. VERY VERY Authentic. The patrons of this establishment are only interested in the finest ingredients as I was told that even their Habanero peppers are imported from Mexico. This is THE best Mexican food I've had in town. If food takes a little longer remember they prepare from scratch. It's not like the "fine" burritos at the Boys... This BLOWS them away. Family operated and no snotty people slapping the burrito. I've tried em all in Cambridge, and this is the REAL deal! These folks care about what they do and they do it well. Fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Remember this is not a chain and they prepare everything real time. AUTHENTIC! Even the drinks are from Mexico which adds to the experience. I just came from the (boys of burritos) and I can honestly say don't send a boy to do a mans job if you're serious about your burritos. This place has earned the title of THE MEXICAN!! 4 stars because of the customer service and food. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated immediately (they even spoke Spanish to us, we speak the same language although we aren't Mexican). It made us feel like we were at home. Our food was not spicy at all, so I asked for hot sauce on the side and it was very good. The food is Very fresh.. I had the pork enchiladas with mole sauce and I also ordered another order of it (because it was delicious) but the take out one, was without the mole sauce. I preferred the one, without mole sauce but they were All delicious. The guacamole was delicious and the cream and salsa chips were delicious as well.. I was expecting the salsa to be a but spicy, but it was not? That's okay, the food was fresh and delicious and the Mexican beer (the dark and light one are good, but I preferred the dark one and this is coming from someone who Dislikes dark beer, but this one is good, I'd prefer it, over Guiness).
