Oh, praise be and hallelujah! Chorizo's original location opened in Mississauga days after I moved to Milton. It's the sort of place I would have stayed in Mississauga for. But, good news everyone, they've finally opened a branch im Milton! The excellence of the original travels well. There are fresh toppings, meat cooked before your eyes, and a wrap that'll satisfy any man or woman. Plus, tacos and salads and chips. The LLBO license is in progress, but soon enough, mi ninos. The piece de resistance, the cherry on the sundae (they do not sell sundaes, btw) is the washrooms. They have xelerator hand dryers. Seriously, those bad boys are worth a half point all on their own. read more

I pass by Chorizo on my way home from work. My husband and I have ordered burritos from here at least 10 times over the past 2.5 years. We like the el grande steak and chorizo burrito in particular which is about $14 with tax these days. I like that the meat is freshly cooked when you order and the variety of veggies and sauces that you can put in your burrito. I've never had my order done wrong and I'm consistently met with friendly service here. They also have a free rewards card. On cinqo de mayo, they also have their annual $5 chorizo burritos and $1 jarrito soda drinks (get the mango flavour!) which is a great deal! The only thing I don't like is the rising prices of their food but still a good place to go to when you're craving a burrito in the area. read more

If you're looking for authentic Mexican, this isn't it, but in Milton it's probably your best bet. Flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas, shredded marble cheddar instead of queso fresco, pico de gallo without coriander, chopped lettuce??? So it ain't Mexican but hey, it tastes good, so who cares? I ordered the chorizo tacos and was given the option to choose my own salsa to top off the tacos. I went with the mango salsa and the corn salsa and they were both tasty since they were made fresh and not processed. This place is overpriced by about $2 per menu item in my opinion, but when I got my tacos, I think they were worth it. They didn't cheap out on the meat or the salsa and the taco was stuffed like a burrito. Kinda messy, but it hit the spot... read more

We have been going to the Milton Chorizo once a month for over 12 years now. When we were there two days ago, it looked like there was a management turnover and everything has gone downhill rapidly. The new young guy who served us was not listening to what I wanted. The portion sizes are now extremely small. They used to use a scoop for the cheese, now they take a very small few shreds of cheese with their two fingers and barely sprinkle it on the food, same with the lettuce was hardly anything. We usually can't finish our steak burrito bowls, but we weren't full after eating, and had to eat cereal after to fill us up. The owners should go back to the way it was with good portions instead of skimping out on the food. We are paying a good amount of money and many other customers will feel the same way. We won't be going back and will find another place to get Mexican food in our town. read more

They don't follow proper sanitization when cleaning and don'ts clean there sause bottles at all their sour cream bottles made me throw up from the rotten smell and just add fresh sause to the old stuff read more

Chipotle, burrito boys etc are better IMO...having said that they are the best burrito spot in Milton (although that's not saying much as there is little competition in town) We live in town and do takeout mostly, so if you are eating in the gripes below may not apply: - 50/50 chance they get your order correct. More than once I have placed a takeout order and they either add stuff I didn't ask for or missed things that were requested. Super duper frustrating. Unless you want to unwrap your burrito and take a bite you aren't finding out till you get home. Good luck! - they cook the meat on demand, and it takes awhile. Give them like 15mins notice if you are doing takeout. - if you order veggies, they always put way too much. It's basically a green pepper festival inside when you take a bite. Overall I gave them a low score because they need to do something about their ability to take your order correctly. One star because If a chipotle or burrito boys opened nearby i'd never eat here again. read more

Mexican food always excites me! We were in the area and decided to give Chorizo a try. Having never been, I studied the menu extensively, before deciding on a "fajrito"...a combination of burrito and fajita, in that it's basically a burrito, but with grilled veggies in it, for an extra $2. They also have a variety of salsas and guacamole. I wanted to try the tortillas chips, but as it turns out you can order the salsa, or guac, but it doesn't come with the chips. You have to order those separate. I'll get back to this. So here is a major problem....EVERYTHING has cilantro. I mean EVERYTHING. The rice, all the salsas, the guacamole...it's one of the toppings you can put on top of everything in addition. I really can't understand this choice, given how so many people feel very strongly about the taste of cilantro. I'll admit, I'm not a fan, which made it really hard to decide on toppings. There were two salsas without cilantro...one was a "salsa" that was basically just corn (??) and the other was a "medium" salsa, which I went with...it wasn't the hottest thing I've ever had...but it made my lips tingle. So, this was the major problem when choosing the salsa to accompany the chips...basically we were sort of forced into the guacamole, which was quite good...still had cilantro in it, but the taste was mostly hidden. We waited for our orders and then were called over to choose what to put on the burritos. Except because they had such similar names, we misheard and my husband ended up choosing the toppings for mine and vice versa. Maybe I'm being picky, but I feel like this weird problem should not be happening. Maybe don't call your food items very similar, but confusing to pronounce names?? Just a suggestion. Anyway, the food tasted pretty fresh and the people serving were nice, so that's a bonus. I just don't think I'll be back though...too much cilantro and it wasn't unique or good enough to bother with again. Also, a bit on the expensive side...$35 for two "burrito things", two orders of chips and 8 oz of guacamole. read more

I like Chorizo much better than the disgusting dog food they serve at Burrito Boyz. Love the concept of the raw marinated meat being grilled in front of you, to order. I guess it deters some people though due to the minimum 10 minute wait for your food, but I'd rather wait for something fresh instead of some nasty meat that's been in a steam tray all day like at Burrito Boyz. Took a star away because their guac is way too onion-y for me, and no corn tortillas is a little disappointing, but that's pretty much the standard here in Ontario it seems My suggestion as far as the meat selections go is either the chorizo sausage, or grilled chicken. I'll admit, food was decent. I had the Shrimp and Chorizo bowl. 1st issue- I was thrown off when I added the chips to my order and was told after that the queso was extra?!?!?! BRRR????........why not ask me if i wanted that when i was paying then? who really asks for chips without queso or salsa?! Not people who really love Mexican food! 2nd issue was that when adding my toppings, I did not want cheese so i asked for an extra topping instead as you were only allowed 2 toppings I said Im not getting cheese can I just have some tomatoes/salsa. Man comes out after the fact while i was eating and throws it in my face that they had given me the extra topping and that they didn't have to. I get it, you didn't have and I did appreciate it but .....why throw that in my face while I'm eating??!? Was it because i asked why the chips did not come with queso/salsa? I'm only writing this because people who love Mexican food, chips and salsa will need to know this. I would rather drive a few blocks down to Mucho Burrito and get everything I just asked for with better options and pay bit less. p.s I paid just under $19 for lunch and that does NOT include a drink. Great food. Wonderful friendly service! First night I ordered the bucket burrito bowl and had it delivered. Came hot and fresh and tasted fantastic. Today we went there for lunch and I had the steak burrito bowl and loved it even more. The steak was amazing and the burrito sauce totally made the dish. Grilled veggies were awesome and the salsa selections are great. I highly recommend! read more

Very fresh and tasty. World's better than Mucho Burrito as Chorizo cooks all meats when you place your order. That means a bit of an extra wait but man is it worth it. I highly recommend the steak fajitas/burritos. read more

This restaurant is NOT Mexican food in the slightest. Worst of all the restaurant makes the claim that they travelled to mexico and studied the cuisine from the source, but nothing could be further from the truth. I've had real chroizo, real barbacoa, and real carnitas in mexico several times. None of the items on the menu are prepared correctly. They are tasteless and look nothing like the authentic counterparts in mexico. First of all Mexicans do not eat burritos. That is a Tex-Mex invention. Second where are the fresh corn flour toritas? Third shredded cheddar cheese is NOT Mexican cheese. I could go on, but I would end up listing just about everything on their menu. oh well, I guess they think that with a few picked jalapeños and Mexican hot sauce they can call it Mexican. They need to stop insulting Mexican cuisine with their lies. This IS NOT authentic Mexican cuisine. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food DON'T enter this over expensive joint. read more

I've been going this location for years now. Easily the best chain burrito place I've ever been to. Burrito Boyz, Mucho Burrito and Chipotle are all an embarrassment compared to Chorizo. While a bit pricy, they don't charge extra for guac like most of the other places seem to be doing ($1 for a tiny scoop? You crazy?). The grilled-to-order meats make all the difference, much better than the stewed concoctions served elsewhere. The staff have always been good to excellent, depending on who is working. Some of them are real stars that go the extra mile, a nice change from the surly teen or disgruntled lifer you see pretty much everywhere else. My only gripe is the location, but for me it's worth the drive. read more

When I feel like a burrito and I don't want to make one at home, I always run over to Chorizo. It's way fresher than the "Mucho Burrito" on Thompson and Main St. And they have great sauces here. The meats here are good too. They have real steak. They cook the whole steak for you and they slice it in front of you. read more
