Very small "hole in the wall" place inside a gas station BUT excellent food!!! I ordered an Arepa…read morewith ham and queso de Mano and it was HUGE!!! Also had two ground beef empanadas to go. Ground beef had a different taste than I usually get. Was good but would try other empanadas before I buy them again. Lots of food choices and quite a few other Venezuelan snacks and food items along with Polar beer and sodas. Will definitely eat there again next time I'm in the area!!

The service staff was very friendly in assisting us with the ordering (and the menus have photos which helps immensely). To eat: Each of us ordered our own platter 1. Chicharronada- chicharrones, arepas, queso de mano, frijoles, huevo frito. Everything was tasty, especially the fried pork! 2. Pabellon criollo-carne mechada, arroz, maduros, huevo frito, frijoles. Good flavored meat, a little chewy, but overall enjoyable. 3. cachapa de queso- this was the best part of the meal. For all you cheese lovers, you will definitiely enjoy. It is 10x better than an arepa because it is made with sweet corn instead of regular maiz. It is huge if you get the regular sized one (enough for two people to split, with leftovers) jugo de mango- sweet and delicious, did not taste like it was from concentrate. The ambiance.. well.. you are in a gas station. Personally, I love a rough-around-the-edges spot. 10/10 for good flavor and character.

The service is attentive, and the food is excellent -- both in flavor and presentation. It's a place we have genuinely enjoyed visiting. However, during our most recent visit, there were a few concerns that stood out. First, we noticed that the prices listed on the menu did not match the prices on the receipt. While the differences were only a few dollars, it's important for pricing to be transparent and consistent to avoid confusion. We also really enjoyed the live music -- it created a wonderful atmosphere. However, once the band went on break, videos from the same artist played for over an hour. In our opinion, the content seemed directed toward one specific culture. Given that this is South Florida, where multiculturalism is such a big part of the community, it would be great to see entertainment that reflects and embraces a broader audience. Finally, while the food remains very good, the portion sizes feel small for the current pricing. It seems that prices have increased noticeably, and the value does not feel quite as balanced as before.

The plantains and fries tasted like re-used old oil. Additionally, we waited 35 minutes u til someone came to take our order. The one thing they had going for them was the live music which although the singers were not great, it helped create a festive atmosphere.

I ended up ordering the jonronera, which is filled with shredded beef, shredded chicken, ham and cheese, plantains and black beans. Since this empanada is big, I shared it with my friend and split it in half. However, by doing this I didn't get to try some of the stuff in the empanada such as the plantain and shredded beef since that was in my friends half of the empanada. We both felt that rather than having been layered, it should have all been mixed together so that people could have a little bit of everything when splitting. Aside from that though, it was really good. I also have one of their juiced and that was refreshing! The service was good, we had gone there on a busy day apparently because it took 30 minutes to get the coffee my friend ordered. There is enough seats, but it can get a bit crowded in the place. Overall my experience was pleasant and really enjoyed the empana
