Wandby Landing is a place i've always heard wonderful things about and I'm so glad I finally got to…read moretry it. I love that it's a bit out of the way of the downtown area so you can park and relax in a beautiful setting. We started with cocktails and drank them outside while admiring the beautiful property, i highly recommend getting there before your reservation so you can enjoy a drink on a nice day outside! I got the Tideline cocktail and substituted the tequila for mezcal after the bartender suggested it and wow! A great drink and i was impressed how fast the service was. Once we sat down inside we ordered a lovely Gamay for the table, you really can't go wrong with any of the wines on the menu they have a great selection. We ordered quite a few dishes to share between the three of us and the server brought them out in a 3 course style per her suggestion. We started with the citrus and fennel salad and grilled raddichio and these were both so fresh and delicious, we had to leftover vegetables this were exceptional. Then came the asparagus pizza, pork and beef meatballs, and the focaccia as our second course. We almost skipped the focaccia- that would have been a huge mistake. That is a must order, the texture was biscuit like and the seasonal flavored butter was divine. The pizza was really blowing us away with the white sauce and the chili crisp combination. The dough is so light and crispy as well it was wonderful. The meatballs were huge! and came with delicious grilled sourdough. The pasta and lamb shank came out next and at this point we couldn't see how it could get any better but then it did! The lamb shank is huge and cooked so beautifully. The pastas were definitely the standout bites of the course. The carbonara noodles are thick and cooked perfectly and the sauce is so rich a creamy. The Tortelli pasta was my favorite, the pockets stuffed with a gooey filling and the fava beans added a great texture to the dish. We were in carb heaven. We somehow were able to fit dessert in and i'm so glad we did not skip it. We ordered espresso martinis to accompany and this is without a doubt the best espresso martini i have ever had. We substituted tequila and they were completely delicious. I don't remember exactly what the names of the desserts were that we got but one was a a chocolate mousse with a peanut butter sauce and crunchy peanuts which was so yummy. But the favorite of the table was the pistachio one. It was like an ice cream bar with crunchy pistachios on it. Get this one if you go! This was an unforgettable meal from service to food. The staff is incredible and really treat you wonderfully and the food is so good i really didn't expect it to blow me away as much as it did. This is a place i'm going to have to come back to again and again.

The first floor has a big bar, a lounge area around the fireplace, and some tables. The upstairs has a super spacious layout with plenty of seating. Every single thing we have eaten here has been insanely good. The pasta is always layered with unique and delicate flavors, and the pizza is SO good. If you sit at the bar, you can also get some special bar only offerings, like garlic knots made with their pizza dough The cocktail program is amazing and with prices on par with the bars around the area that use cheap liquor and premade mixes, they're a great deal! One of the best old fashioned's I have ever had! Lastly the service is always extremely professional but also warm and friendly. The owner is often around as well and he is always helping out which is super appreciated as a service industry worker. 10/10 all around

Place was packed but thankfully we snagged a high top table inside. They even had some live music going on which was great. Service was friendly and quick with multiple servers checking in with us and other parties. Busy but they did not seem overwhelmed at all. Top notch service during our visit. In the past they had food trucks for food but within the past couple months have opened up their own wood fire oven and food menu. Think wood-fire pizzas, fries, smash burger and other options. Cocktail wise they have a huge variety of seasonal options and they are mostly broken up into categories including even spicy options. My wife went with their Lavender Haze, a lavender gin based drink while I went a unique savory option of Baby Carrot, a vodka based cocktail that was definitely orange like carrots and even had carrot garnish. Both were phenomenal with my wife finding a new favorite with the Lavender Haze. After trying those we decided on splitting a chicken pesto pizza. It came out cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of char & crisp. The crust was soft and pillowy enough so that my wife who typical skips out on eating the crust but she enjoyed all of her crust. Really well made pizza and look forward to trying even more versions in the future. Before leaving we wanted an additional cocktail to end the night. I went with the espresso martini which they offer black or with cream. While my wife got a Tiramisu Martini which was kinda a riff on the espresso martini. I did order the espresso martini with cream but it still was quite stronger than the majority of versions I've tasted. My wife's drink was the superior dessert cocktail. Overall we enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning. Especially keen on seeing both the fall and winter cocktail menus! A must visit distillery.

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the barn the night before our wedding. Being from California, we wanted to have an "Aloha" theme to keep the vibe casual. Shannon worked closely with us to customize a menu and help us with decorations. She was so supportive and blew our minds with the creativity in the menu and drink options. She also partnered with us to work within our budget. Since we had to plan our wedding from across the country, communication with a lot of our vendors proved to be very tough. But NOT Shannon. She was quick to reply to all of our emails, and always put us in the best mood. In such a stressful process, we could always rely on Shannon and staff to make us feel at ease. And the food, WOW. Our 40 guests for dinner were raving over how amazing everything was. And after the dinner, we opened up the barn for about 100 people to come in for the "Welcome Party." At the welcome party, Shannon worked with us to customize cocktails and create a "California" themed taco station. Every single detail was delectable. Would highly recommend to anyone planning an event in Kennebunk/Kennebunkport. Would give more than 5 stars if we could. Can't wait to come back!

Out by the street was a simple sign requesting a $5 donation to park and walk around. Not knowing what it was (but real intrigued by it strangeness) I hung a quick U and went back into the driveway and parked. My kids are not too happy! As we approached the front door they are begging to leave as the place gives them the willies. To make matters worse a big wad of keys are still hanging from the front door. Now I have the willies! Being me, I open the door and peer in and to my amazement I see a massive room full of the most traditional cool art and collectibles I've ever seen! High class Americana. We skulk through the first big room because I hear voices coming from an even larger room I can see deeper in this massive old house. As we enter the back room, we find two older men sitting at one of 20+ beautiful early American tables (all surrounded by beautiful chairs). They are holding a small wooden sled and discussing how to repair it. They quickly finish and one leaves and the other introduces himself as Bill Johnson and asks if we'd like a tour of the place. I quickly say yes and that starts the next faze. Bill quickly begins to regale us with story after story about each piece we point out or strikes his fancy: --Nice story about Hermann Goering's cuckoo clock on the wall. --He turns on his player piano, sits down and grabs a very large megaphone, and begins serenading my daughters with a beautiful old tune. --He quizzes us about American historical facts, tells stories, sings, etc. and would have spent the whole day with us had we had the time. Well, I could go on and on about this place...but you gotta see it to believe it. Best $5 tour ever!

We just happened by it on a sightseeing trip and turned around to see what it was all about. The owner is eccentric, to say the least, but not in a bad way.
