I attended my High School Reunion in March 2015. I purchased a Memory Book from The Reunion…read moreCommittee (TRC) for $37.01. I was informed by Liz Perez in April of 2015 that due to lack of response in interest for the Memory Book, they will not be producing it and was offered a refund. To this day, I have yet to receive my refund (yes over 2.5 years later!). I have tried to follow up throughout the years on my refund and was given different excuses...the bookkeeper is currently out of the office, we'll get back to you (and they don't). When I tried to follow up in November 2016, I was informed that the check was mailed out in October 2016 (yet I never received it). In August 2017 they mailed me a scanned copy of the endorsed check yet I was not the person who endorsed the check (someone by the name of Elaine Hagel**** cashed the check). It is my belief that they mailed my check to the wrong address and Elaine inadvertently or intentionally cashed the check. Either or, the bank should have never let her cashed a check that was made payable to my name. TRC told me that in order for me to receive my refund, I would need to email them saying that I myself did not receive nor cash the check which I did the very same day (August 7, 2017). I even provided them my checking account number as well as my routing number so that they can directly deposit this money into my account instead of mailing out the check again just to prevent a similar mishap. In October 2017, I followed up to see what happened to my refund only to be asked "Did you see the attached copy of the endorsed check that was cashed?". It was as if our interaction/correspondence from August 2017 never transpired and we're back to square one again. I forwarded the email that was sent to them back in August 7 and received no response from them as of yet. I don't care that the check was cashed by someone else...that is not my problem. That's their problem which they need to take up with the bank. The bank should have never cashed a check made payable to a different name than that of the depositor. So 2.5 years later, I have still yet to receive the money that was due to me. I think I've been plenty patient. I've since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. For those of you who intend to buy anything from this company...be informed...they're incredibly incompetent and unprofessional.
