While on the road, the one thing the weathered "Road Warriors" like myself that try to pack as little as possible and prepare for every situation that might arise, find that at some point there is only so much gortex, quick dry material and teflon coating can do to avoid the inevitable. Which means unfortunately there are some domestic chores that can't be avoided. Especially if you want to remain acceptable to society, unless you are choosing to live among the Gorillas in the mountains of the Congo, which I am pretty convinced there were several that were more interested in approaching me after a good soak in a pond and donning newly washed clothes. Saying that!?!... maybe it wasn't so much my clean laundry soap scent that attracted the gorillas as much as the raw scent of my humanity in the jungle without washing for several days. Come to think of it, even the adolescent gorillas we less curious. WOW! The thought of being rejected by primates is kind of depressing. I guess from the gorillas perspective they're thinking: "Hey! Whoa!...Who that heck is that pink, hairless creature that smells like a cross between baboon butts and hyena breath!?" I digress.. Laundry and the art of cleaning those things we call clothes. Depending where you are in the world, I've come to expect or not expect as the case may be varying levels of laundry services from the outdoor air drying in Thailand, to massive laundry factories of Mumbai India where I recommend you not bring your whitest Charles Tyrwhitt shirts only to have them returned...less white when you dropped them off "dirty"!? I mean "How do you get skidmarks on a white shirt AT THE LAUNDRY for heaven sakes! (I mean all 1,000+ of the Hindu heavens) However, fear not! For there is a laundry service in Prague though only slightly less expensive than my laundry service in LA, and it is faster, cleaner and wrapped up just the way I like it! Yes, the very "stoic?!...Magical Laundry Maven will take your dirty items and return them almost better than new. ... (You'll know what I mean when you meet her) :) Lets just say, she reminds me of a US Immigration & Customs Officer after returning from Amsterdam before marijuana was legal in California. But then again dealing with tourist laundry from around the world, she must have seen some pretty "interesting" laundry. Anyway, She saw my Billa supermarket bag full of clothes, and put two baskets onto the counter which I figured she wanted me to separate them by colors (WHEN WILL CLOTHING SEGREGATION END!?...too soon!?...sorry) and she charged me 500czk upfront. Which I am wondering if it was more about weight then colors... I'm so dim sometimes! Well, next time I will put everything into one basket to see if that makes a different. ...and 3 hours later... VIOLA!... CLEAN, FRESH CLOTHING So the just under $20USD totally worth the hassle of UberPop-ing into Old Town (see what I did there?...UberPop-ing...yeah...well Whatever! Go! Pay! Get Clean! Tell the Magical Laundry Maven Chef Dom says Hi! ...and send me the photo of her face and response! Ciao' (Yes they say Ciao' in Prague) Chef Dom D'Maestro UPDATE! On a 10 day trip across Europe. Found this place on Yelp. I had about 5 days worth of laundry. They were very helpful! Cost about $10 USD and everything came folded perfectly. Dropped it off about 6pm and it was ready the next morning at 10am. They spoke English. They only take cash so bring some Koruna! So glad I found this place! I thought I'd have to pay an arm and a leg for laundry service. Great place! read more

Fast and convenient. CASH ONLY (Czech Kuna) All other reviews are consistent as far as everything being nicely folded and the English spoken by the woman who owns the store is very limited. We were in Prague in October 2018, and the price was still 250 kuna per basket (about $11-12). **The baskets are NOT the size of American laundry baskets. The baskets have a capacity about equivalent to the size of a reusable grocery bag e.g. I used a Lululemon reusable bag and that was about 1 basket. Their washing machines are the smaller European size so if you bring a full suitcase or duffel bag, bring enough cash for 2-3 baskets. This was 100% worth it and I'd totally recommend this service. read more

After reading the reviews, we decided to drop by and see this place out. All the reviews are right, this place is on point. The lady at the counter doesn't speak much English, but was able to communicate to us. You pay by per basket load (250ck). We had three basket worth of clothings. It was done within the 3 hours mark. All of our cloths (shirts,socks, underwear, etc..) were all folded and places in a bag. This was a nice way for us to drop off the dirty laundry and continue our site seeing. On top of this being an awesome place, this place is within 5 minutes walk to the Charles' bridge. Or you can take the tram to the castle. Overall, experience was really good. read more

Extremely convenient, fast, clean and friendly. We dropped 2 full baskets and returned 3 1/2 hours later to find all our clothes clean and nicely folded. Great service and all for 250 Kronas per basket. There are several locations but we found this one the most convenient. We took Tram 22 to the National Theatre an right across the street is an underground passage that takes you to the other side of the block, make a right at the end of the passage and it's only a few steps ahead on your right. read more

I had been traveling for 9 days and needed some laundry done. Took a $3 Uber to this laundromat. Lady at the front was super nice. Laundry was clean and folded in about 2 hours. A grocery shopping bag full (the large reusable ones) is about $11. I walked across Charles and up the Petrin while I was waiting. For the ladies and the men who love them: The laundromat is on a small side street - not scary at all, but there were several men hanging out around the front. I called an Uber, who picked me up at the front for another $3. I also dropped my pin so my boyfriend could go all Liam Neeson on someone. I kid. All in all, it was $17 for another 10 days of clothes, much better than the $45 my hotel was quoting me. Cheers to this place! I'll be back for sure. PS: Cash only read more

Amazing! I searched for laundromat and this place came up first. For $10 I got a whole basket full of clothes washed. Wow! You drop everything off and come back in 3 hours (or before closing). My clothes were washed, pressed and VERY neatly folded. All in one nice little package :) They even press your underwear - that's just going above and beyond in customer service. Now I have soft clean clothes to wear again. I literally walked out of this place with a fat smile on my face and had to leave a review. HIGHLY recommend! read more

What a lifesaver. You drop off your clothes, they wash and fold it for $12 bucks and you pick it up by the end of the day and are good to go. They were very nice and do an awesome job. Good price, clothes had very little smell- no fragrances of soaps ect. Problem we had was they lost my favourite pair of pants :( considering we are backpacking and have as little as possible with us, this leaves me a little short on pants!!! Otherwise would have been great. read more

The service was amazing - the woman wasn't able to speak English well enough on the phone to us, but once we got there, she understood exactly what we needed. My family and I have been traveling for over two weeks and still have two weeks to go so we were in serious need for laundry to be done. She washed all of our clothing (very well and folded) and told us we could come back to pick up in three hours. Only $24 usd!! (Full suitcase of clothing, keep in mind). Very satisfied! I recommend highly! Self service is really nice feature - don't have to spend travel time at the laundromat. Plus it is really close to the city center. Not much to take a taxi to drop it off or even to walk there and back. read more

In Prague for a week. Dropped off our laundry and duffel bag. They wash and fold. Price is great. When we picked up our laundry, everything was folded and placed in our duffel bag. My wife and I having been traveling now for a little over 2 weeks. Needless to say we had a lot of laundry! I was unwilling to pay the equivalent to $5-6 per article of clothing at a hotel laundry. So I was extremely happy to find this laundry and to pay approximately $40. We dropped it off and 4 hours later we picked everything up folded and bagged for us to take back to our hotel. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was I would have liked to possibly paid a little less. But not ever having to pay for laundry to be done in the past .
