I went to this laundromat today for the first time. I don't live nearby, so I doubt I'll go back. But it was EXCELLENT. I had read reviews earlier today before I went, so I WAS expecting it to be good. When I got there and saw the place, at first I wasn't so sure. Then I learned the machines don't take quarters. They have a card system. I was not familiar with that at all. BUT the female attendant was Extremely Patient and Helpful! I wonder if she's the owner? She was excellent at making this a smooth situation for me. She put a reasonable amount of money on the card for me. $10. Helped me learn how to use the washer. The cost was $6.50. She also helped me with the dryers. That cost me $3.00. The dryers are THE BEST of any laundromat I've ever been to. And I'm in my 60s. I will definitely keep this place in mind whenever I need to do laundry and I'm down that way again. read more

I enjoy going to this laundromat. I've been using this laundromat for a long time. Even though I no longer live in the area, if I have an occasion to use at laundromat, this is where I go. The machines work well and the staff members are very nice. I once witness A person I think was the owner giving a customer who have forgotten their money at home $20 on their washcard. I heard the customer stating that she would bring it back but your man simply said you've been a good customer it's no problem. On the really hot days in the summer I've witnessed them all so offering customers cold bottles of water. And they also offer service to wash and fold your clothes. If you don't have time. I haven't had to use a Laundromat in many years. So to see one so well equipped to handle all your laundry needs was a total surprise. I took my mom here because she needed to wash several comforters. There were plenty of washing machines for standard loads and several others for bulky heavy loads. To wash a bulky load cost $4.00 a little pricey but the machines run for 40 minutes which gives your items plenty of washing time. The dryers for bulky heavy items cost by pounds (50 pounds cost .50 cents per 10 minutes) it took about 30 minutes to dry one comforter, times 5 wasn't bad. There was also 35 pound dryer which cost .50 per 12 minutes. Inside the shop is a dry cleaners and they carry a selection of laundry detergents, fabric softeners, tote bags (in three sizes) for a small fee. For your convenience there were two coin change machines should you need more quarters, an ATM machine should you need more cash, a snack and soda vending machine. To make your stay more comfortable are chairs throughout the shop, laundry baskets with wheels, and several folding tables. It is in a great location and was very busy for a Tuesday afternoon. read more

The washer and dryer in my apartment died. The landlord took over a month to replace them. The last time I had to do my laundry here I was very low on money as it was in between pay days... There was not one 3.5 load washer open. I wanted to cry. An employee (most likely an owner) paid for me to use a bigger washer. I also dropped my debit card in there and it was turned in. They returned it to me. What nice people. It is very clean too... Can't say enough good about these people! read more

Very quiet environment and it's never really crowded. The staff is nice and energetic, all of the machines work nicely, there are also televisions and vending machines if you choose to stay in the building while your clothes are being washed and/or dried. However, if you choose to leave they now have this cool card that you can scan and connect to your machine. If you choose to leave the building, it will send an alert to your phone whenever your machine stops. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Was taking some blankets out of my car last week, and one of the employees crashed a cart onto my car and scratched it. I understand accidents happen, but once it occurred, she ran inside and neither she or the owner refused to make eye contact with me. Najib (the owner) lied about not being the owner, refused to address the situation and then after continuing to bring it up, told me he wasn't liable. I didn't even wash my blankets here because I was so furious. Take some responsibility of your business and your employee's mistakes Najib. This entire scenario could've been handled much more professionally and respectfully by you. read more

So ... we need a laundromat for a short period. Not being a fan of doing my laundry in a public place ( who is?), this one is close by. It's rather neat and clean (for a laundromat), but does have an odor on occasion. I've been twice and find that the clothes get clean and so far nothing has been ruined. One drawback - no laundry tub. The prices are probably comparable to other places (but if you're used to doing laundry at home, it feels like too much!). They also offer alterations and some items for purchase (i.e. detergent, snacks, etc. ). I found the attendant to be friendly. read more

Just most of the other reviewers have said, Laundromax has plenty of washers and dryers. The attendant has always been friendly. Regular dryers are .50¢ for 12 minutes and washers start at $3.00, depending on the size you need. Definitely recommend avoiding coming on the weekends, as it tends to be a lot busier. I rarely need to use a laundry mat, but I'm so glad to have a good one close by! Our washer and dryer have been out of service since March 20, when our basement flooded with sewage. That's also the time the pandemic really started. I was relying on family to help with laundry, but that got super taxing and we don't have family super close. I gave in and decided to give Laundromax a try. Their building looks great, always looks clean, they take care of their stuff. Of course you'll always have a machine out or so, but they have so many it really doesn't hurt them. I've never had more than 6 people there with me at a time. Everyone is nice, the staff is readily available, they have tons and tons of products if you forget anything. Their machines are also fast, I was surprised to be done in less than 1.5 hours one trip. They even took precautions with the pandemic and public safety. If I ever need help with washing clothes again I will go here first next time! read more

Horrible!! Dirty, cheap equipment and RUDE employee!! My boyfriend and I were there one afternoon and with an hour and a half before they closed we had to go back to our house (a quarter mile away, literally) and asked the lady what time they closed bc we needed to get more detergent from our house around the corner; the woman's erratic response was "hour and a half, but once you leave you can't come back, I've been here all day, I'm tired and there's so much cleaning I have to do." I replied our intent and she starting getting really upset. First, start to finish an entire load takes 45 minutes giving plenty of time before they close. I understand working all day and being tired with a lot left to do, but emotionally expressing that to a customer is inappropriate especially when there was more than enough time for us to start a few loads and still been out before close. Also, there's signs posted saying "last load 30 minutes before close." After her reaction we decided to pray for her and not give a business that's run like that our money. We went down the street to Harrison Coin Laundry and even talked with the woman there about how horrible and awful this place was, she was sweet and agreed how ridiculous and silly the lady here's reaction was. PLUS Harrison Coin Laundry is WAY cleaner with better washers and dryers at the same price! This awful experience was a blessing I disguise bc it lead us to a cleaner, better equipped with great employees. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DRIVING 5 MINUTES SOUTH ON MIDDLEBELT TO HARRISON. read more

Long story, but I needed a laundry service in this area. The establishment is neat and tidy, and the machines are clean and updated. My experience was about as good as it gets at a laundromat, and I didn't notice that the prices were any higher than the dry cleaner I use in my area. The woman who was working was happy to help me with questions about some alterations I needed done, and while I normally see a tailor in Birmingham, I was VERY pleased with the work done. I've attended this Coin Laundry location a couple of times and have only used the self-service machines. The thing I like about this location is that it is fairly close to the target near by so that you can throw in a load of laundry and swing by the target to pick up anything you need. Always clean as a whistle. Woman in charge is available to assist but not intrusive. Have used this facility a number of times. Clientele is friendly, not loud or intrusive. This is a great alternative to my high priced apartment complex laundry room. And the people watching is phenomenal. I have never had to wait for a washer or a dryer and there's usually a table open for folding. Sunday's are fairly busy, but late afternoon or evening was always a pretty good time to get there. The attendant (the lady) was always helpful and one night when I got there just after the last load time, she let me throw in my clothes anyway and told me if I tried to go somewhere else downtown, I'd probably get robbed. Definitely your average laundromat. The front desk attendant was very helpful and the establishment was clean. A little pricey for wash ($5.00 large front load washers) but only around $1.00 to dry. The washers definitely seemed to clean my clothes well. There was a pre wash and wash cycle. The only downside was that there weren't many places to sit. And an obnoxious family who let their kids run around. read more

We use this laundromat once or twice a year for heavy loads and the like. Very clean, only negative comment the chairs to sit on are very stained but not sure what you can really expect. Friendly attendant. Free coffee. Lots of machines of various sizes and capabilities to choose from. read more

As far as the machines go they wash and dry. The place is not the cleanest in the world but not dirty either. Would have rated higher if the sister of the presumed owner wasn't such a rude and argumentative individual. The place has washers and dryers. I was in the area and the reviews looked decent so I figured it couldn't be that bad. I was wrong! The place has an awful smell.. Like old moldy dirty basement kind of smell.. Or like a wet dog lives in it. Some of the washers were filthy with dog hair in them. My washer stopped after a few minutes and unfortunately I didn't take notice until I was sitting there for twenty minutes cause I mean who sits there and watches the washer! So I ended up waiting almost an hour just to get them washed. Dryers are 50 cents for 12 min. And the washer was only 5 bucks.. So prices weren't too bad. Clothes are still soaked when I used the front loading washing machines... Dryers took forever, therefore costing me a butt load more of money. Lady at the counter was really rude and even came up to my sister and I while we were folding to ask if we could not throw anything away in the trash can- per, she had already emptied it for the night. Rude customer service. Just called this place for prices. Guy told me shirt prices. I said "how much for a quilt?" His reply - "I JUST TOLD YOU! [price] for a shirt!" I had been coming to this laundromat for years but after the last few visits I will not return. The smell here is unbearable. It has gotten progressively worse and now it smells like sewage backed up into a basement. I was informed by another customer that the top load washers only fill about 2 or 3 inches from the bottom(so they cant even wash a half full load) so I recently switched to a front load washer that malfunctioned and got stuck. When I was finally able to get my clothes out they were soaking wet but I did not have time to wash them again so I threw them in the dryer. Over an hour later the clothes were still very damp and I was going to be late for work so I just took them and left. After drying them elsewhere I discovered that they weren't clean. They have the odor of the first laundromat and it smells like raw sewage. If I cant clean this disgusting smell out of my best clothes I will seek further action.
