I highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a skilled massage practitioner. There are times when my body really calls out for help, and when I hear the call, Laura is who I contact. I have received a good number of sessions from Laura over the past two years and I keep coming back to her. To begin with she has a great office space. When I step in the door I notice something shifts in me. I start to relax, and my body, which can get wound up from too much time in front of a computer, starts to unwind. While I often ask for a good amount of work on my shoulders and neck, where I carry the most tension, Laura is good at tracking that tension deeper and working the essence of my tension pattern. The way she works helps me to feel myself more deeply and the amazing thing is that after seeing her the tension doesn't have a place to hold onto for an extended period. I recently learned of Laura"s massage practice and just had my 3rd massage from her a few days ago. What a treat! Laura has a great touch, very intuitive, present and sensitive. Appropriately firm and still nurturing. I've got Watsu training and certification, plus I've had tons of very highly skilled massage, and Laura is on par with any of the best I've experienced. She's friendly, kind and interested, but gratefully does not chat at me all the time, instead lets me sink into a deep relaxation as she focuses on my healing. I've set a regular bi-weekly appointment to address my stress and overtraining issues from a very active middle-age life-style. A friend gifted me a session with Laura, saying that I would really like her and her work. Life gets busy and I waited to make my appointment until my body was aching and my shoulders/back and neck, were in pain. (Not a good plan.) Laura is a presence of attuned caring matched by a skillful touch in unraveling the pain and tension held in our bodies. I felt like I had a 90 min spa-day. The music was perfect, the space beautiful, and she is a gifted bodyworker, creating restoration and rebalancing. I highly recommend her. read more

I have enjoyed four massages with Laura, all in the Swedish style. She is attentive to my comfort and manifests a calm, grounded presence. I prefer deep massages so I appreciate the firm pressure that Laura can provide with her strong hands (and occasional use of elbows). It is great when she manipulates my arms to get at difficult to reach muscles in my shoulders and upper back. She does fantastic work on my jaw, scalp and face -- very helpful for my chronic TMJ tension.
