From the moment I talked to Kim, I knew we were in good hands. I felt so supported by Kim throughout the whole process and knew I could reach out to her with any questions, which she always answered so helpfully. On the day of, she was great at keeping everyone on schedule (which isn't always the easiest), especially since we had a lot of picture demands and a big wedding party, but I never felt rushed or felt like I didn't get the right shot. She made my husband and I feel immediately comfortable, which was amazing seeing as we hadn't done any engagement picture and had zero idea what to expect. Her studio is really neat! She has a love of nature and makes most if not all of her backgrounds by hand. Pretty cool! I had always wanted to get an extended family picture and thought why not try Lillian and Grace. I asked Rachael if she would come to my house and take a large group family picture as well as small group pictures. She gladly accepted and was genuinely excited to take pictures outside of the studio. Rachael was super easy to work with. She responds promptly to any questions or ideas and is definitely not pushy. She made adults feel comfortable posing and made the kids laugh to get a natural smile! Very soon after taking our photos, she sent me the proofs. I was thrilled with the pictures. Even my husband who doesn't like his picture taken loved the photos. Everyone felt great and loved the way they looked in our pics. The toughest part was trying to decide which prints to buy!! I bought a few right away and bought more shortly after. I will definitely use Lillian and Grace for photos again and highly recommend you do as well!

My husband and I hired Joe Grant Photography for our 2017 wedding. We were incredibly dissatisfied…read morewith not just his final product, but his lack of professionalism throughout the entire process. It was not uncommon for our emails to him, simply inquiring about a date he had set and missed for delivering our photos, to go unanswered. His contract outlines 4-6 weeks to receive the final product, we were not sent our wedding photos until 12 weeks after the event. There are long periods of time during the wedding/reception where there appear to have been no photos taken. It was made clear to us that his assistant (his son's) job was to keep us on schedule, throughout the pre-ceremony photos I was the one asking for the time, and reminding his son to check the schedule. We had outlined when we wanted to take extended family photos, when that time came we were never pulled aside, so unfortunately we have no pictures with any extended family members. One of our biggest issues with Joe was his lack of professionalism. When he continued to miss the dates he himself set for delivering our engagement photos, I sent an email to him outlining my frustrations, and asking that if he misses a due date to please let me know when I can expect to receive the photos, instead of setting a date, not delivering, not contacting me, and not answering my emails. It wasn't until I sent this email that I finally got our engagement photos with no acknowledgement for the frustration he had caused, it was as if I had said nothing. Upon venting my frustration over him to a friend she told me her cousin had used Joe Grant Photography and complained of a lot of the same things. I strongly advise you to consider someone else for photographing your event. Signing with Joe Grant Photography was a huge headache for us, and big mistake.

From the beginning, his website reflected timeless photographs that matched our style and he was easy to communicate with along the way. I planned our September wedding from out of town, in the midst of a move and Joe was incredibly flexible, easy to work with and helped to plan a timeline for the big day. He was new to our location, and you would never be able to tell as each picture was as if he'd been shooting there for multiple weddings... perfect lighting, background and staging of the bridal party. He and his assistant were incredibly kind and professional, ensured that we were all on time (with time to spare!) and that we had all the photographs we wanted before leaving. The final product? We spent about 2 HOURS on that first phone call. She took the time to get to know me and my fiancé, learn about our families and our life. She invited us out to her hometown for a BONUS engagement shoot. The photos from that shoot are some of my FAVORITE photos I have of myself and now husband. Leading up to our wedding, I did not hire a coordinator (because it was in our backyard), due to this my timeline was a little disjointed. Lily came swooping in and ORGANIZED everything last minute. She coordinated with my other vendors to make the day flow smoothly. Her management of a wedding day was never interpreted as "unprofessional." It comes from a place in her heart of wanting what's best for her brides and providing a heartfelt product. Lily/Gardenhouse Films work is unprecedented. I sometimes go back to her website and watch videos because her work is so darn beautiful, timeless and breathtaking. Her use of video and music captures each couples unique vibe. Gardenhouse Films price point is right on par for talent of her caliber! As someone who debated not having video, man oh man I am SO GLAD I DID. I go back regularly to Lily's Video and relive the day! She also keeps in touch. I find it so incredibly touching that Lily has reach out regularly to check up on myself and my husband. We are both healthcare workers on the frontlines of this pandemic. Lily has reached out to check up, send us information on how to stay healthy and even has sent us homemade masks!!! I mean WOW! I not only gained a vendor but a friend! Weddings are stressful! I repeat WEDDINGS ARE STRESSFUL! Events occur that are completely out of our control. I had things occur during my wedding that caused us to lose money. I changed my venue and lost substantial money but the terms were clear in the vendors contract! Instead of going on Yelp! And having myself and my entire family slander a persons name and livelihood, I accepted it as a life lesson. It saddens me that during this crazy time, instead of rolling with the punches and appreciating/supporting each other, there are people out there attempting to spread ill will for small businesses just trying to get by. The multiple poor reviews given to Lily are all referencing the same occurrence. It is clearly a misrepresented attempt from a disgruntled bride and her family grasping at straws to obtain control and bully a small business owner by manipulating social media. I can only imagine how difficult a time it is to be navigating the wedding business waters but Lily's policies are on line with what I have heard from many friends and colleagues who are in similar situations. So please. Check out her work! It speaks for itself on so many levels! I WILL be using Lily and Gardenhouse films for EVERY life event for the rest of my life!
