I interviewed several realtors, and found Jeannie to be one of the only realtors who impressed me with her organization, reliability, experience, and initial thoughts about selling my house. The other great quality is that she is still laid back, and really personable. I found Jeannie randomly and called her out of the blue because I saw her sign in front of a couple of houses in my neighborhood that had recently sold. Jeannie met with me initially and answered several questions I had about what services she would provide to me as a seller's agent for my home and as my buyer's agent. She was very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods I was looking at (central and east austin), and was super flexible and available to show me houses when I was available. Two things that most impressed me about Jeannie is that she was a tough negotiator, and was super helpful in guiding me on repairs that were going to need to be done to my new home. I was looking for a home that needed a bit of renovation, and she was great in differentiating the big-dollar problems from the small-dollar ones. She also had a team of contractors and handymen that were available (and reasonable) to help me get my house ready for sale and help me start work on my new house. My girlfriend and I decided to start looking at homes in June 2020. We found Tony online and loved his reviews. After touring our first house, we started asking him basic, first time home buyer questions about the market, the process and what we needed to make an offer. We knew nothing. Tony patiently took us through everything. There was never any pressure to commit to him or anything. Never did he make us feel like we were dumb for asking something. All he did was answer our questions and say that he is available whenever we wanted to see more houses. It was just positive vibes throughout. The Austin market is crazy, and we saw 30+ houses over the next few months. We lost out on 5 offers. Throughout the process, Tony never pressured us to make an offer, nor to raise our offer. He evaluated every opportunity with us. He listened to our thoughts, and added perspective if we asked. He was our partner. Always knowledgeable always patient. And I hesitate to advertise this because I know he has a family, but he was also almost always available. We felt like we were a team and he was always looking out for our best interest. When we were our most frustrated, Tony assured us that we would get something. He told us not to give up. When we finally had an offer accepted, Tony was as excited as we were. He helped us with everything - mortgage, inspection, and even recommending contractors to work on our house. Tony was willing and advise us long after the deal was done. He clearly just enjoys helping people. I can't imagine having gone through this sometimes stressful process with anyone other than Tony, and I'm so grateful we found him. The few times she did respond, answers were not clear and paperwork was sparingly filled out. My two roommates and I ended up missing out on a place we were looking forward to leasing because Ms. Gebhart couldn't be bothered to do her job in a timely fashion. Very unsatisfied with her performance and on a side note, leaving a 5 star review for yourself is pretty tacky.
