An appointment was made for a week later. I ask to be put on cancellation list. Received a call on the 12th for a 9:30 appt. Met with staff and saw Dr. Kenee that morning for my consultation . Received a call the next morning as they had another cancellation at 12:00 (May 13) , I accepted and had my root canal . Never thought I would get in so fast. Today at (May14) I received a call checking on me. Would like to thank the receptionist and scheduling staff knowing I was hurting to care enough and have the compassion to call and ask if I could come in on short notice. Also Dr. Kenee and his nurses are as caring and so professional . Thank you so much . God is Good !!!

I thought I would never say, "It was a pleasure going to an endodontist to get not one, but two…read moreroot canals". I have had pedicures that were more traumatic. From the moment you enter her office you get a sense of being at the epicenter of professionalism, calm, and compassion. Dr. Thomas's 31 years of being an endodontist, including eight years in the Navy and being deployed during Operation Iraq, has served her well. While in her company you get the feeling, you are the only patient on that day's schedule. There is no sense of rush as she extensively answers your questions and will allay any fear in a professional and assuring manner. She has the gift of blending compassion and even humor when needed. My only regret is she doesn't do general dentistry as I would look forward to becoming her first patient.

I'm from Russia and I had a long story with that tooth having a cyst and a lot of inflammation for 2 or 3 years. Russian dentists (although I went to expensive clinics) told me to extract the tooth. The tooth was really difficult but I was lucky enough to come across dr Thomas. She saved my 5th tooth for that I have a feeling of warm and great gratitude. First you are treated like a pariah if you didn't know to call ahead 24 hours to tell them you have new insurance. Then you get asked questions such as " Well have you had insurance before?". Yes, obviously as I've used it the past 6 visits at THIS OFFICE. Then she just asks you to pay in full even though you have insurance, when you refuse, she then tries to contact the insurance company herself, gets the wrong info and tells you to have a seat in the waiting room and call yourself. Oh, and this is after she tells you "We've gone above and beyond for you" Above and beyond?? You work for a medical practice that takes insurance. SO I left, called my insurance and they explained I should have no copay and there should be no issue with payment. I then called the practice back and spoke with Sam, who proceeded to ask me if I got the name of the person I spoke with at United Insurance, you mean you want the name of the person who answers the 800 number at United Health Care, a company with over 125k employees. WTF is wrong with you people, submit the claim! Maybe learn what customer retention is. All this for a cleaning and an x-ray, never had a cavity, but I'm sure I'll have some one day and it won't be business they will receive. I apologize to the dentist at this practice, but if you accept the front desk treating patients this way then you are not where I need to be.

He then proceeded to be short with me and say that my daughter needed a root canal. Upon questioning that, he said, "we can just pull the tooth then". He was very unprofessional and even condescending stating "you won't be able to see what I can on the x-rays". We cancelled further appointments and got a second opinion at another dentist. My daughter's fillings that were done at Strasburg Family Dental were done incorrectly and turns out, she does NOT need a root canal. Cannot recommend this dentist to anyone. It's sad, as Dane is pretty awesome.

Of course, like everyone, I dreaded to go but as soon as he said hello, he had me. -He said all the right things and kept saying them through the entire procedure. He talked about his favorite ice cream,and another hundred things that were quirky and funny the whole time. Did I need to retain any of that? No. Did he probably run this same schpeel 4 times earlier today already? Probably so and good for him. He found what works and he perfected it. I found it to be very distracting from what's going on by replacing the sounds and feels of dentistry with visuals of the stories he's telling. And he changes subject quickly so you never lose interest. Great tactics. Very nice man. You're in and out. Thank You!

I have two cracks in my tooth and it can't be saved and instead of doing a procedure and then having it be a failure and having to have a second or third procedure, he was truthful and is referring me to have one procedure done. I highly recommend him! After meeting the doctor, I only wish I could have the root canal done by him. But I still have other teeth so there still is time lol.

Both her and the dentist were super nice and cool. Plus, they use the water pick thing that works so nicely getting the stains off your teeth and is quicker and doesn't hurt like the metal close to your gums can. Great experience.
