From the start, her calm, grounded energy helped me feel supported and confident, even when things didn't go according to plan. When my labor stalled, Holly guided me through exercises that actually got things moving--my water broke soon after, and she also shared positions that helped my baby flip. Her pain management workshop gave me tools I leaned on hard during some intense moments. And when my epidural failed (twice!), Holly didn't miss a beat. She advocated for me when I was in pain and made sure I felt heard and cared for. I honestly don't know what I would've done without her. She played a huge role in turning what could've been a traumatic experience into something empowering. If you're considering a doula, do yourself a favor and call Holly. She's the real deal.

During the birth of my first child, there were many unexpected things that came up that I felt…read moreunprepared for, especially during a time when it is already difficult to think (giving birth!). I felt ignorant and like I could have used a lot more support, especially given that the nurses were different, people I didn't know, and that I didn't always agree with (but didn't know how to handle that situation). The actual doctor came in and out only occasionally. For my second child, I wanted to hire a doula to help me cope with the contractions and to be an advocate when we went to the hospital in case I encountered any other unexpected situations. My second birth was much faster, and I had a successful unmedicated birth. I would definitely work with Windy City Doulas again. They have many doulas and helped me find someone close to me within my price range. She was very kind, experienced, reliable, organized, and professional. She even gave me other resources (like educational birth videos about what to expect in birth and at the hospital that she had made, which I watched with my husband). She recommended practicing pain coping techniques, and all of this helped me feel competent and prepared. I'm sure this doesn't happen very often, but in my case I was lucky to have the birth experience that I had planned for and wanted without complications!

Why do I love this place let me count the ways…read more This place is excellent from the transport drivers, nurses, front desk clerk, technicians and doctors. I needed to find a new doctor so I called my insurance company and they gave me this place, but I never made an appointment so, they sent someone to my house and they got me in the next day and they have free transportation for their patients. I reluctantly went because I just didn't feel like going but how can you make an excuse when they are giving you door to door service. All I can say is that I wish I knew about this place earlier because I never felt so comfortable at the doctors before in my entire life and I have been to some good doctors. They have complimentary snacks, fruit and coffee...yum! After going for awhile they call you by your name without you even telling them and the ladies up front are so helpful and always seem to be smiling and truly care about the patients. Your first visit is the longest because they are sitting down with you and getting all your information and although that may seem taxing I was thankful they truly made sure they have your best interest at heart. When I met my doctor he sat down and spoke about a treatment plan and he listened that was like a big plus for me. They bring the lab to you so I didn't have to leave my room when they had to draw blood. I also liked that they had this machine that they used on my feet to check for blood circulation since I am diabetic and I had never seen nor heard of such a machine before. They make sure they don't overbook and that way they can focus on the patient and their health that is a rare gem in world of let's make a buck and screw the patient. I believe they have another location but I'm not sure where it is right now. If you have a disability or are senior this place is a heaven sent....I could go on but I won't right now...lol They could really show the health field on what to do to make your patient feel like they are important and being heard. When there was no answer, the call rerouted back to her. So I ask for her name and her title and she only stated " MARIA" and told me she do not want to answer my question on what her title is and hung up the call. She is very unprofessional. I hate to hear that this is the face of you customer service support on your medical center. She need to be address better on her service and why she do what she does. SMILE through the phone when you are answering calls for a medical center.
